This isn't a joke. Since having 3 huge babies,(last one was nearly 11 lbs), my inner fanjo lips have turned a hideous grey/brown colour and hang down about 2 inches outside the outer ones. I just think they look vile. I have only just realised that you can have an op to have them "trimmed". On the same day that I read about this, I read a description in the novel I was reading of a woman's bits, describing "the dark red bud enclosed by the pink petals". It was such a contrast with the way mine look. It's not as though I go about flashing my fanjo at everyone but I have to see it in the shower, going to the loo etc and I hate it. I mentioned the possibility of getting it "fixed" to a friend who plans to have surgery done to everything - boobs, face, tummy etc and she gave me this lecture about how it's totally misogynistic etc. I find this really hypocritical. What's the difference between a boob job and a fanjo job? I probably won't ever actually go through with it but just wondered what people thought.

Fia, you could take that a step further and have moulded chocolates in you calendar...

DH thinks there's a market for the kind of framed cast kit that you can get for babies' footprints. Capture those precious memories forever!

120 · 30/09/2010 23:13

Maybe they could do the invisible ink print one too - there is a wipe and then you press the paper on, but no mess as it is a chemical/paper colour print. If it's sensitive enough for newborns...

elastamum · 30/09/2010 23:14

I love this thread!!! As a 46 something dating agian after 10 years and 2 kids, you have no idea how much better this has made me feel. AF i will be in the glasto tent!!! Grin

4plus1 · 30/09/2010 23:14

This is why i love mumsnet! Have not had this many laughs at a thread in a long time. And also im drunk and its thursday nite . I dont know of any man/woman ON THIS EARTH, who would halt proceedings and say 'no sorry dont like the look of that one'! Anyone is just glad of a sh**!

FiaGrace · 30/09/2010 23:17

This is making me laugh so much, I would consider having a flap imprint on each chocolate and then for the Xmas day window, your very own cast kit (as opens dh suggested)

Priceless

120 · 30/09/2010 23:19

However much I'm with you girls, think I would baulk at the though of flap chocolates.

120 · 30/09/2010 23:20

apologies, that should be ladies of course.

FiaGrace · 30/09/2010 23:20

We could also sell those magic mugs ie a picture of your very own flaps on the inside of them so that your dp/dh can feel as if he truly is drinking from the flaps of lurve..

4plus1 · 30/09/2010 23:22

The fun of imagining all my relatives' faces when they get their lovely advent calendars! Oh especially mil& sil's

120 · 30/09/2010 23:23

nope Fia, I fear we still have more levels to plumb

FiaGrace · 30/09/2010 23:24

MollysChambers · 30/09/2010 23:26

Fia - Hmm I think DH would like a "flap" mug for the office.

120 · 30/09/2010 23:26

imagine the father's day cards

120 · 30/09/2010 23:27

how about those mugs that make things appear when they get hot? Bit like that guardian photo.. the lower half of the wife..

FiaGrace · 30/09/2010 23:34

That's it 120

Olifin · 01/10/2010 00:17

I was just thinking about those 120!

What an utterly marvellous (and latterly) hilarious thread.

My flange is no oil painting. I shall bring it to Glastonbury, along with a flag and a cast.

BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 07:16

Ahh this thread has turned out lurrvly.

All sing together:

To tune of "We are the World"

We love our flaps
We've all had children
We know they've seen better days
But let's start livin'

< links arms, sways >

OrmRenewed · 01/10/2010 08:51

I have very little to do with mine tbh. It's just there. In fact I think I would have to address mine as Fanjosephine until I got better acquainted.

DH likes it. And he's the one with most intimate knowledge.

HalfTermHero · 01/10/2010 09:45

Lol, this thread is bringing mainstream minges to the fore and I celebrate that. Great idea re the lurve cup, Fia. Now get yourself onto Dragons' Den!

MollysChambers · 01/10/2010 09:46

Not sure if we've helped OP at all...
OP, you still there?

BoffinMum · 01/10/2010 17:05

ROFL ROFL ROFL Grin

I have a Cadbury's chocolate melter machine and could easily mould little minges for the calendars.

Olifin · 01/10/2010 21:12

I just showed OH the pictures of the flange sculptures and asked him which one resembled mine. He said he can't remember. Hmm It hasn't been that long since he last saw it.

Then he said: 'Well, yours looks like...a vulva'. Fair enough, I thought, he obviously doesn't analyse its appearance as much as I might do.

BoffinMum · 01/10/2010 21:23

QUICK!
Labias are on Embarrassing Bodies on Channel 4 RIGHT NOW!

They are plugging their vulva wall, so to speak.
