to want labiaplasty

This isn't a joke. Since having 3 huge babies,(last one was nearly 11 lbs), my inner fanjo lips have turned a hideous grey/brown colour and hang down about 2 inches outside the outer ones. I just think they look vile. I have only just realised that you can have an op to have them "trimmed". On the same day that I read about this, I read a description in the novel I was reading of a woman's bits, describing "the dark red bud enclosed by the pink petals". It was such a contrast with the way mine look. It's not as though I go about flashing my fanjo at everyone but I have to see it in the shower, going to the loo etc and I hate it. I mentioned the possibility of getting it "fixed" to a friend who plans to have surgery done to everything - boobs, face, tummy etc and she gave me this lecture about how it's totally misogynistic etc. I find this really hypocritical. What's the difference between a boob job and a fanjo job? I probably won't ever actually go through with it but just wondered what people thought.

We need an open top bus, lots of banners and flags and a loud speaker shouty thing so we can spread the word

If Dawn Porter can do it with topless ladies then we can do it for the nations (well ladies) flaps

nemofish · 30/09/2010 22:42

Freedom for Flanges!

HalfTermHero · 30/09/2010 22:42

Do you think that all the MN'ers would provide us with anonymous pics of their flaps to put on said tent wall? We will need access to plenty of non porn cunt.

openerofjars · 30/09/2010 22:44

I've just found this thread and DH would like me to stop pmsl so he can watch shit tell. So I read him the post about Sunday lunch. Hah. But it made me think...

See, I haven't really looked at mine in any meaningful way in a long time, so I popped into the bathroom for a look. Now, the last time I looked DS was about a week old and I looked, screamed, and blanked the memory. So today, thanks to this thread, I found out that the lovely doc who stitched me up literally and figuratively left a huge notch like she ran out of thread or something. Git.

But, really, who's going to see? It's dark under that duvet.

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 22:45

"Modern Minges !"

"Fabulous Flaps !"

HalfTermHero · 30/09/2010 22:48

Opener, I reckon that it looks a lot better than you give yourself credit for. Join the flap liberation front and be proud, Sister.

southeastastra · 30/09/2010 22:48

don't mess around with your bits

Snorbs · 30/09/2010 22:49

"Glorious Growlers!"

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 22:49

brilliant

HalfTermHero · 30/09/2010 22:49

Rofl, AF. Seriously though, I wish the genuinely sad and depressed 20 yr olds seeking labioplasties could see this thread.

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 22:50

me too

BoffinMum · 30/09/2010 22:52

If it wasn't t'internet I would show you mine. I am quite proud - I think they are actually quite good ones I have been landed with (although I would have preferred perfect thighs and the absence of the family obesity gene tbh).

BoffinMum · 30/09/2010 22:53

I am tempted to have ohotos taken of mine and make them into Christmas cards. In fact we could sell Christmas cards and put it towards the out and proud Glasto fundraiser.

MollysChambers · 30/09/2010 22:58

Isn't it unfortunate that young women seem to have so many body hang-ups?
Isn't it even more unfortunate that its only in their mid 30's and several kids later that they'll realise that they looked bloody hot back then....

120 · 30/09/2010 23:00

Boffin, how about doing casts as Christmas Gifts. Tis a fabulous thread. Haven't ever looked at this many fannies in my life, and I do life drawing... The models are usually very groomed and sit nicely!

By the way, if any of you have had unfortunate encounters with rude lyrics, come andtell all!

openerofjars · 30/09/2010 23:00

One of my colleagues who is a few years older than me delights in telling the office about the dreadful things that will happen to our bodies as we age. She loves talking about her flaps and is a fantastic role model and a raving loon.

She would be up for the Xmas card idea. She would suggest a labial advent calendar.

Do men get depressed about the effect of time and gravity on their testicles? Cos that's not pretty either...

Since when were genitals supposed to be pretty, though?

nemofish · 30/09/2010 23:02

BoffinMum - 'We Wish You A Merry Quim-mas?'

"I am nemofish and I have a glorious growler!"

This will make the Mumsnet Glasto T-shirts even more interesting...

MollysChambers · 30/09/2010 23:04

I'm sure my in-laws would love a cast of my fanjo for Christmas - fab idea!!

FiaGrace · 30/09/2010 23:05

The advent calendar is a brilliant idea open

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 23:05

Grin at nemo

on that note, I am off to bed for a bit of fanjo-fondling

FiaGrace · 30/09/2010 23:06
Smile
openerofjars · 30/09/2010 23:07

Festive! Grin

MollysChambers · 30/09/2010 23:08

Perhaps the more well-endowed ladies could use their fanjo casts as letter racks? Decorative AND useful.

openerofjars · 30/09/2010 23:09

Fia, are you really a maths teacher of a certain vintage? [suspicious]

Our staffroom notice board is going to be well grim this Xmas...

youngblowfish · 30/09/2010 23:10

I have not read the entire thread, nor do I feel really strongly about plastic surgery one way or another, but your friend's reaction to your plans/thoughts is apparently quite typical.

There is an article on the BBC describing how women who are planning plastic surgery themselves think they are doing it because they 'need' it, while others are wanting it done because of vanity or external misogynistic expectations.
