Obviously not to playgroups etc, but I've got a baby at home and don't think I can cope otherwise. Is there anywhere we can safely go where there won't be lots of kids/pregnant women?

I have just been on the blog again and am reading susan's responses in the comments section and am even more upset and confused.

I simply don't understand any of this. Very, very sad and so distressing for the people directly affected.

Am so sorry and sad about this.

Northernlurker · 02/10/2010 22:28

I'm quite sure that the obit isn't a fake. Whatever has happened here I think that we can be sure that little girl died. Of everything that's here that's the one thing I wish most of all wasn't true Sad

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 02/10/2010 22:29

However she hasn't offered an explanation for the specific allegation made that she is/was WWC. I am just confused.

Mm. Not gonna read her other old posts on here. But I have been reading her blog update, and responses to comments (as I assume she wants people to) and I don't know, they seem a bit off somehow.

But then, who knows really ? I'm certainly open to the notion she is genuinely bereaved. There seemed no reason to doubt that aspect of things, at first, and others here who know her vouched for her.

But MNHQ seemed so sure that she was WWC, and if she'd admitted that on her blog I'd be more inclined to think "fair enough, move on". Instead she appears to be slightly misrepresenting what they have said about her (eg ignoring/glossing over the specific trolling and IP address connections).

I'm still confused about the Marseille airport bit too -- so Susan was posting from France last night, preparing to travel home today?

fizzledrizzle · 02/10/2010 22:31

Yes the WWC needs to be cleared up - as MN must be able to link namechangers in their posting/search history.

I am unsure as to the blog now.

She visited her father in France and travelled home late last night/early today, iirc.

DirtyMartini · 02/10/2010 22:34

Oh right, thank you, Dee.

exactly, hobnobs Sad

annec555 · 02/10/2010 22:46

I don't know what to think anymore - except that I still feel absolutely sure that Sassy's grief about her child is real.
But I think she did answer the question about WWC on her blog - she said she had only posted as two names. If she genuinely isn't WWC then there isn't much else she can say about it, is there?

annec555 · 02/10/2010 22:46

Also, did WWC actually troll? Or was she just a bit aggressive and controversial?

BrianAndHisBalls · 02/10/2010 22:47

"They never said it was 'highly unlikely she was bereaved' and neither did they say that she'd tried to extort money from other people. The first is a paraphrase of some other posters' thoughts, the second is something I believe WashWithCare was accused of."

That's not correct Pixie - Justine did say it was highly unlikely she'd been bereaved:

Justine said: "It is, I suppose, technically possible that her current story is true - i.e that in at least four previous incarnations she lied about her personal details but in this case was telling the truth, but it's extremely unlikely..."

MNHQ - Could you please clarify if you can? This is all really upsetting and must be horrifying for Susan.

I agree anne. I think she has answered the question about WWC as she said she had only been sadsusan and sassysusan.

It seems very real to me too but I continue to be confused.

BrianAndHisBalls · 02/10/2010 22:49

annec- yep as you say, susan has answered the question on her blog, she says she's only ever posted under two names and neither of those are wwc.

anyway, off to bed, hope there's resolution tomorrow and some peace for all concerned.

DirtyMartini · 02/10/2010 22:49

So you think it is more likely that MNHQ are wrong, anne? Even though they are so much more definite about it than is usual for them?

What she could say, I guess, is anything acknowledging the actual reasons they believe her to be a troll. Otherwise it seems like avoidance -- a willingness to slag them off but a refusal to address their (seemingly logical) reasoning at all.

galwaygal · 02/10/2010 22:49

Is there any chance that the same IP address would appear if there were two different people (WWC and SS), and both of them posted from their work address???? It might then appear that the two people are one?

Northernlurker · 02/10/2010 22:50

WWC's stories became more and more hard to believe and her back story was very complex - there were many traumas and an xp and a dh who was brilliant but had a mad ex-wife and awful dcs. It pretty much pressed every mumsnet button - even without her posting about breastfeeding. I remember thinking she was working up to a big birth trauma and that was really scary because so many people have gone through the ringer on that one.

BrianAndHisBalls · 02/10/2010 22:50

sorry pixie didn't realise the bold would offend.
