Obviously not to playgroups etc, but I've got a baby at home and don't think I can cope otherwise. Is there anywhere we can safely go where there won't be lots of kids/pregnant women?

Having now read the latest comment on her blog my mind is well and truly boggled. Maybe MNHQ need to clarify exactly how sure they are that WWC and SS are one and the same and what evidence they have to prove this.

So either MNHQ have dropped a massive bollock, or SS is a cynical troll using a real person's identity & awful bereavement to amuse him/herself at the expense of genuinely bereaved parents.

I'm sorry. I know I'll get flamed for posting it. But I know what I think's the most parsimonious explanation. Anyone else remember Judge Flounce?

Reading the whole thread silently...am very sad about the whole thing...I am grateful for the education re seriousness of CP though.

I don't believe the technology exists for pre-emtively checking IP addresses. I speak as someone who buys monitoring equipment for a telecoms/IP provider. It MIGHT do, but I never came across it. We can triangulate your location via mobile phone usage, and yes, the Police can access your info, but.....

If the only evidence is IP address, that could simply be a coincidence. (I know people often don't believe in coincidence, but it can and does happen with IP addresses from time to time.)

Can I just add, in case anyone thinks I'm simply here as someone who loves picking holes ... I got drawn in because I followed this thread from the very start (posted early before it got so dark). Had a toddler and baby with back to back CP last month, including suspected "on the lungs" with the 3 year old and two awful nights in hosp with the baby. So I was reeling at the revelations from SS as thread unfolded. Despite my recent experience I'd been very clueless about the full extent of the risks. I even had a (very young, childless) GP tell me it was probably fine to take the kids out and about (we only took them to a deserted beach and a hilltop by car though).

Sorry, not trying to make it about me, but I just suddenly realized that I might seem like a rubbernecker simply for being here at all, so felt I should explain.

MNHQ I agree with nannylocal. It would be helpful to know, (in terms of making sense of what has occured), if the other identities were also pre Catherine's death.

If they occured after or at the same time, I think this strengthen's the case for identity theft/ fabrication.

I almost hope that Sassy is a troll, because if she isn't, (in her current guise), this is awful.

She did not say that WWC/Sassy had tried to extort money, that was another poster, and it transpired that she wasn't sure if it was WWC in one of her other personas or another troll altogether.

THat's it isn't it Raven - either we have a former troll who was horribly bereaved and came looking for support or we have a stolen tragedy or we have an almighty HQ cock up. No scenario seems even slightly likely to me tbh but one of them must be.

Yes, I'm much the same DirtyMartini - mine recently had CP, I wasn't told to keep them in strict quarantine, & we did go for walks in the local woods etc.

This thread made me realise I was an ill-informed arse about the very real risks of CP.

Shame all that's now been so overshadowed, & hope loudlass does do her CP thread.

Fucking hell this is a mess and a half.

Can anything be salvaged? I certainly didn't know that CP was quite so dangerous even though I have always kept my DC inside until recovered.

Please MNHQ, of course you have to be careful what you say, but if you could clarify, that would be great. I realize up to a point you have to avoid getting drawn deeply into the "aftershock chat", but there's so much confusion at the moment.

If Sassysusan really is completely fabricated; setting up an online orbituary, the blog and all those stored up posts from threads on here - that really is quite scary.

I am saddened to read Sassy's blog update.

I had hoped she would admit to trolling in the past and explain that her current posts are genuine.

I really, really did believe until I read this, but I very much doubt that whatever other mistakes they may have made, MNHQ do not have evidence that Sassy and WWC are one and the same.

I hope Sassy gets help and support either way.
