I once found a full on dragonfly in a pack of washed and ready to eat Morrisons baby leaf salad. Environmental health took it away, did an investigation and said it was just one of those things.

Not a patch on this though.

OMG.... the tail Shock

YUK yuk yuk.
Poor mouse.
Don't look, anybody.

Lauriefairycake · 28/09/2010 12:47
Envy

However you are allowed up to 3% of 'other' in some products - faeces, insects, hair, dust (literally other people's skin)

Bet the whole mouse exceeded that 3% Wink

belgo · 28/09/2010 12:48

I'm not usually bothered by things like that

but I'm bothered by that picture! Yuk.

GetOrfMoiLand · 28/09/2010 12:50

Lol and in equal measure.

Tippychoocks · 28/09/2010 12:50

why wouldn't you be shocked? Confused

I think you're right Laurie, the mouse is more than 3%. There's quite lot of it left Grin

EmEyeHi · 28/09/2010 12:53

Good point Tippy - why wouldn't I be shocked!! Blush

Tippychoocks · 28/09/2010 12:54

I like the live interview when he describes how it feels to find a mouse Grin. Much as you'd expect it turns out.

Yes, you are being completely unreasonable! I love mouse on toast.

CatIsSleepy · 28/09/2010 12:59

oh, barf!
of bleedin course YANBU Grin

Indith · 28/09/2010 12:59

He noticed it had fur yet carried on making lunch for the kids and let them eat it. Excuse me while I vomit Envy

I found an earwig in a jar of dolmio once. It was alive.

BessieBoots · 28/09/2010 13:01

It's sliced! Bleeeeeugh!

GetOrfMoiLand · 28/09/2010 13:01

lolol in shock and horror at a LIVING earwig in dolmio.

I would need therapy, i loathe earwigs (not that keen on Dolmio eitherm, come to tyhink of it)

Indith · 28/09/2010 13:04

I have never used dolmio again (they were less than bothered about the earwig by the way). In my defense I was on a Guide camp, hence the use of the dolmio. Also why the people of dolmio were not bothered, I think they rather thought the earwig had dropped in after opening.

sapphireblue · 28/09/2010 13:11

HE LET HIS KIDS EAT IT!!!!!!! surely that's the most Shock bit?

Tippychoocks · 28/09/2010 13:11

Indith, a live earwig in your jar of sauce on a camping trip and you blame Dolmio Grin. Much respect.

belgo · 28/09/2010 13:15

Grin at Indith, bet you gave Dolmio a great laugh.

My friend in America was upset recently because her baby's formula milk was recalled after beetle and beetle larvae was found in some of the milk.

nikki1978 · 28/09/2010 13:16

No he said he made them sandwiches from another loaf

Lauriefairycake · 28/09/2010 13:20

He cut sandwiches from another loaf after mouse discovery.

But he also realised that they had previously eaten from that loaf the day before without noticing mousey.

louii · 28/09/2010 13:21

Oh dear god, that is so disgusting!

YunoYurbubson · 28/09/2010 13:25

YABU.

Oh no, wait, YANBU.

Morloth · 28/09/2010 13:30

Yuck, but not really that surprising surely?

Chil1234 · 28/09/2010 13:37

I love these kinds of 'How shocked were you?' interviews that state the bleedin' obvious. 'Once I'd got over the initial shock' says the shocked man... 'I was shocked. The kids were shocked too. You don't expect this kind of thing to happen to you. It's shocking'

BTW... 10-1 the mouse was deliberately added to the loaf-tin by a disgruntled employee. This is an alarmingly popular reason for food contamination incidents.

NinthWave · 28/09/2010 13:37

My youngest sister found a snail shell in a Birds' Eye chicken pie once. They sent us a voucher for some more pies Hmm

Lauriefairycake · 28/09/2010 13:41

I'd be upset to find a snail shell

unless i could also locate the snail......
