I have been celebate for more than 2.5years. Every now and then I want sex (sorry to be blunt), but I want really good sex. That rules out one night stands. I do not want a relationship, I don't even want to share the taxi home.

AIBU to (when I have the money) pay for guaranteed satisfaction and think that the money I paid means I am not responsible for anyone else's feelings?

I may just be being really old-fashioned here but, I just can't wrap my head around the idea that everyone seems to think it's not only ok to pay for sex if you're really horny, but it's also ok to go out and have one night stands and hope to get someone good? Why does how good the guy is at sex seem to be the only issue here! I don't really get it, I can't even consider having sex with someone who didn't love me inside and out. That's only my opinion though, I do appreciate that not being in a relationship doesn't mean you stop feeling like sex, and I have no idea how you've managed to go 2 1/2years without (a week is a long time for me!)

Please don't think I'm being patronizing by saying this, but this comment sounds like you don't feel great about yourself? I'm sure you have a lot to give to the right person, that isn't purely physical. I kinda think that you feel having emotionless sex with someone random will make you feel good, but I suspect this feeling will be quite short-lived if you do go ahead with it :)

Extremepie thank you for your comments and I can see how you may think that, but I feel pretty good about myself. My assertion that I have nothing to give, was not meant as a reflection of me as a person, simply my unwillingness to give anything of myself (too busy/too happy on my own) to a romantic relationship. I want to have emotionless sex with someone good at it, just for the sex really. I am mostly happy with who I am (I could do with being a bit more driven on my college course if I'm honest).
