Middle aged OH crapped himself. Having checked it isn't through illness, just through laziness, and I entitled to feel I may never get past this?

Yes, if it makes you feel any better, my DH has shit the bed! ....Blush for him, but like pinkthechaffinch's DH, it was when he was very ill with diarrhoea, and he was suitably embarrassed.

I helped him clean it because he was very ill.

There is not a hope in hell that I would be doing anything to help if he was just lazy though.

I'd be giving him a right mouthful about it!

pinkthechaffinch · 07/09/2010 20:50

I think he should be the one sleeping in the spare room. You have my sympathies, though, from past experience I know how hard it can be to shift a man out of the marital bed. Sad

verytellytubby · 07/09/2010 20:52

Grim.

NameChangeEmbarrassed · 07/09/2010 20:52

Yes he looks very remorseful. WHich is all well and good but it doesn't erase the images from my head. How do I ever even think about fancying him again after this??

I'm so sorry, i just think this bodes really bad for the state of your marriage.

This is a total lack of respect for you. Ok, some men, mine iincluded, can be a bit loud and wiffy in the loo. I live with dh and ds and really resent cleaning the loo and wonder why they cant leave it immaculate as i do. But this??

This says to me he doesnt really care what you think of him.

pinkthechaffinch · 07/09/2010 20:54

Have you dc's?

I'm potty training a the moment and I hate to think of what such a scenario would do to dd's psychology.

Are they aware of what your OH has done?

NameChangeEmbarrassed · 07/09/2010 20:54

Anyway I'm off to the spare bedroom now. Thanks for all the help everyone, I can (almost) giggle (in a horrified fashion) about it now.
Not sure the marriage can be saved though!!!

perfumed life just read your comment, I have just said exactly that to him. Does he not care what I think of him?!

Can he not sleep in the spare room in a bid to make amends?

Really if there isn't an illness then the lack of respect for you is quite sad.

Conundrumish · 07/09/2010 21:02

Night (put a mattress protector on his bed before you go though!).

JuJusDad · 07/09/2010 21:10

And a big roll of toilet paper on the bedside table...

droves · 07/09/2010 21:13

30 year old men do not shit themselves.

Clearly op the way to go is trade him in for a potty trained younger , fitter , more respectful and hygenic model.

Grin
droves · 07/09/2010 21:17

Pioneer · 07/09/2010 21:18

At least the OP doesn't have the toilet brush/no toilet brush dilemma.....Grin

coodles · 07/09/2010 21:19

Sorry, this is vile, does he have other disgusting habits as well?

Thought I had enough here with noise and smell, but this is a whole different level.

SolidGoldBrass · 07/09/2010 21:23

Uncontrollable bodily misfunctions due to being really ill are a different thing, though (ie D&V plus fever) - no one can help that.

sanielle · 07/09/2010 21:26

My oh has yet to shit himself- and he is 36!

I am feeling all proud.

Tippychoocks · 07/09/2010 21:27

Pioneer, he's probably a candidate for the hands-free soap though.

Pioneer · 07/09/2010 21:28

Definitely Tippychoocks Grin

QuizteamBleakley · 07/09/2010 21:28

Poor you, NCE. I have a really disgusting question to ask. HOW did he shit on the stairs? Did he avail himself there (as in purposely downing trews & cacks) or did he suffer from 'leakage' on his way to the loo? Both, to even type, are making me feel slightly nauseous but if it's the first: go to jail card.

Pioneer · 07/09/2010 21:30

I think she has gone to bed - but I too am interested to hear the answer to that question QB.

Tippychoocks · 07/09/2010 21:36

I got the impression quiz that a whole poo came out but I feel, upon re-reading, it may have been a squitter.

EccentricaGallumbits · 07/09/2010 21:36

i still don't get how it splattered? was he naked? and normally fomed stool ould just have plopped - not splattered so maybe there is something wrong with him?

Tippychoocks · 07/09/2010 21:52

Chuff nuts maybe and they fell as he romped up the stairs.
How are all my conversations about poo on some level?
