What is wrong with having a go at people who shower every morning and change clothes daily.
We live in a society where people dont a toss about the damage caused to the envioroment by there selfish behavior

We do not live in a world of finite resources and should not use them just because we can
and how the hell do people get so dirty in bed that they need a shower in the morning, every morning

Do you really need another thread for this?

I didn't think it was particularly trollish, but now... Hmm

TooBlessedToBeStressed · 06/09/2010 11:01

what are you talking about?

Lovesdogsandcats · 06/09/2010 11:01

I agree to a point, people are like sheep who do stuff just because they feel they should/other people do.

You are, of course, correct - it is selfish and conformist to shower every morning, wash clothes after one wear etc. The majority of us could manage fine with being a bit more frugal with resources.

I am selfish and conformist in this respect. I also like to feel freshly clean. So do most of us, I suspect. I'm used to doing things this way and I know I would feel yucky (justified or not) if I didn't shower in the morning or wear clean clothes(yes, yes I know worn doesn't necessarily = unclean).

I dont whether yabu or not, I dont know what you're talking about re troll.

Hullygully · 06/09/2010 11:11

Never on a Sunday

shongololo · 06/09/2010 11:11

laughingravey I think you should switch off your computer, and never use it again as it is very selfish and uses lots of electricity and we don't have infinite resources you know.

When you've done that, maybe you should consider how much damage your PC did to the environment when it was being manufactured. 'Tis the work of Satan, I tell you... Wink.

Now go knit yourself a hair shirt (with organic handspun, unbleached hair of course)

GypsyMoth · 06/09/2010 11:14

if you're so worried about the environment that you have to come here to rant....at LEAST spell it properly!!

AgentZigzag · 06/09/2010 11:16

MollysChambers · 06/09/2010 11:17

Or.....AIBU to think that someone who "showers every 4 days and wear clothes for a week, apart from undies which are sniffed every night to see if they will do another day" must fucking stink?

My dad used to always have a go at my brother for having a shower every day saying 'you don't work down a mine, why on earth do you need a shower every single day???'. I do think lots of people are over the top with cleanliness/clothes being washed after being worn just once etc.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 06/09/2010 11:43

Get a grip. You could leave your tumbledryer on 24/7 for a lifetime and not come close the type of "environmental pollution" caused by just one crappy container ship coming from China filled with plastic tat.

Perspective please!
