WOOOOOOOOOOmami · 29/10/2010 19:58

I've busy blubbing over Dumbo and Watership Down.

Mimi, the kitchen must be doing really well! So pleased. I could just eat a lovely pie. Mmmmm.

WOOOOOOOOOOmami · 29/10/2010 21:40

Lovely Princessa!

(How is DP?)

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 30/10/2010 08:23

Grin Princess

How is DP? Feeling better I hope x

Hullygully · 30/10/2010 17:21

Ah. This thread had completely disappeared, and yet - here it is, and you have all been on. How most odd.

One of the elders must have cut my wireless.

Hope dp is doing better, Princess?

OP posts:
Hullygully · 30/10/2010 22:49

And now you've all gone again

OP posts:
WOOOOOOOOOOmami · 31/10/2010 07:16

No dancing at all, Sister. No dancing at all.

We could do a little light quilting though, if you fancy it?

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 31/10/2010 07:35

"Due to their beliefs in boycotting modern technologies, such as the car, and the gun, and their pacifistic beliefs the Amish found that the historical past time of drive-by shootings would be impossible. In response to this they adapted it into an equally deadly 'cycle-by insulting'. Which basically involves cycling-by a person and calling them a wanker."

This really made me chuckle

PrincessFiorimonde · 31/10/2010 19:37

Thanks for all kind wishes. DP's a lot better at the moment, but he does have high bp etc. and sometimes has bad times with it. (Not wanting him to sound like an invalid - he'd hate that!)

Widow (love your Halloween name, btw) - ta for my invisibility cloak; will remember that when it's needed...

Gibbon - love that quote!

Hully - ahh, the ol' disappearing thread, eh? Like a Hallowe'en will o'the wisp?

PrincessFiorimonde · 31/10/2010 22:03

LeninGrad/Ghoul: isn't Rosa Luxemburg one of life's great people?

(Sorry to go all serious on you on this thread!)

Happy Hallowe'en to all.

Hullygully · 01/11/2010 15:27

Could we quilt a cycle?

OP posts:
WOOOOOOOOOOmami · 01/11/2010 17:05

Only if it's a very basic one with no gears, and a basket for carrying your wares in.

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 01/11/2010 19:05

You know me, Game Gibbon.

I'll ride anything.

WOOOOOOOOOOmami · 01/11/2010 19:07

That's why you are meidung.

I'll have you know widow that I am very much in favour with the elders.

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 01/11/2010 19:21

We may grow pampas grass Lenin but we are pure and chaste. We never throw the reins of the cart into a bowl, no siree bob.

WOOOOOOOOOOmami · 01/11/2010 19:25

I've always suspected Elder Ezekiel of being more Mormon than Amish.

Sounds like Gibbon's branch of the church is definitely one of the more swingy ones.

OOOOOmAAAAHmEEEEEE · 01/11/2010 19:30

And I'm sure I saw you giving Rebekah extra black bread at supper yesterday. What was all that about, eh?

Sister LeninGodly, what happy news that you have a son called Japhrimelekiel.

OP posts:

Dear little Japhrimelekiel Casuabon-Henchard. He is a credit to you.
