swooning to tidy spare room vestibule

the excitement never ends

Hullygully · 14/10/2010 11:35

Hehe. You can't fight it Jimbo. You belong with us...

But good luck with the job wait.

Re gloom - I must be feeling better, I have started introducing love onto threads again. Some earlier posts were downright ill-tempered.

OP posts:
Hullygully · 14/10/2010 11:58

And Jimbo, it's funny, because I was feeling the lack of the safe steerage company just before you turned up!

Jamie, you have lots more willpower than I do; I re-registered within a heartbeat month. Very, erm, resourceful of you to use DH's email!

Pag, your boy is really handsome; can understand his girlfriend's worries.

Gibbon, find it impossible to believe you could ever be anything but an ornament to any social gathering. Hope you have a lovely evening. (Whether or not you rend your garments and speak of demi-gods.)

Hully, sorry to hear you have been feeling down/angry/out of sorts. Good that the gloom is lifting a little... Congrats to Hullyette on being Head Girl. Growing into the role?

I find my relationship with 'Mr Grape' obscured by the facts that (a) most of my friends are similarly not of an 'ooh, just one little glass, then' persuasion; (b) I don't have to attend parent/work functions, and have no DC or working partner to embarrass.

Off now to meet a friend for lunch and a glass or few.

Hullygully · 14/10/2010 12:56

Princess, are you on other threads when not here? Otherwise I think you do terribly well, you hardly ever turn up.

Come on, where were you HG?

Well I'm pleased you are back James and Princess and good luck with the job Jamie Smile

Hope you are having a lovely lunch princess.

Umami · 14/10/2010 17:33

I do not belong here. I am An Abstinent. Mostly. I do have a very close relationship with Signor Caffeine though, if that mitigates?

JamieLeeCurtis · 14/10/2010 17:37

Me neither Umami. I get squiffy on a small sherry. I am a very cheap date.

Have you seen the AIBU about Mr Depp looking portly in his new film?

Hullygully · 14/10/2010 18:17

I certainly have. Outrageous.

A close relationship with Ms Grape is not obligatory in IPOATs, indeed those who forswear the grapey mistress are largely to be commended.

I do partake of the opium though

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/10/2010 19:45

Jamie, am now picturing you with a violin and deerstalker.

Hully, am more of a lurker than a poster really, especially as I do feel a bit fraudulent when parenting issues are aired. I am sometimes on other threads (though trying to rein that in since the time I teased a very sweet MNer and she felt obliged to say, 'Princess, you do know I'm a girl, don't you?').

Hullygully · 14/10/2010 20:03

Oh we really, really need the full story on that one.

I fear we are Luddites, Lenin.

You'll just have to hang out here more...

Flirting or hanging? Or both?

Not, btw, that I'm not grateful for all the sterling help and patience displayed by you and ol BIWI to get me on the bleeding thing. I just didn't seem to get the hang.

Yes, I have to say I was attracted by the sheer monomaniacal egotistical appeal of the process, and then immediately thought of th e pressure to perform..

I have a Twitter, but it does feel like talking to oneself in an empty room.

I do feel I should point out that the abstinence is not due to morals but to breastfeeding. I may have a small sherry at Christmas.

Oh, yy to sorry for missing appropriately timed bday wishes to Pagboy. Did he get his swing?

You all look hot tonight. Grrrr.

A friend of mine had a marvellous health visitor (an oxymoron, or the example that proves the rule), that advised her to drink with baby in breast situ so that the alcohol would have all been processed by the time the next feed was required.

Love her.
