I know lying is wrong anyway. But it's almost insulting to lie on here when, if necessary, people can see that you've lied as your words are stored forever! If you're going to lie, at least lie well Grin.

What bugs me is when people lie to get sympathy or admiration for something that is directly contradicted by something else they wrote and they can't possibly both be true.

And then everyone piles in and goes 'oh, poor you' and you know it's bullshit and you can't say 'yeah, but they're lying' because nobody will believe that you have a photographic memory and will think you're stalking the poster and also everyone will think you're being a bitch.

I think IABU. Oh well. I'll get over it.

i have bumsex twice a week, thats no lie

BuzzingNoise · 01/09/2010 15:47

givemesleep, yanbu.

Litchick · 01/09/2010 15:49

I don't mind folk changing details - I do it myself and never keep track, so I probably look like I've got three, no wait four, kids...that I'm from Yoorkshire, no wait the Midlands.

I do it because of what happened to Cod.

What I hate more, is thos eposters who change their views/politics/opinions like the wind. But you're not allowed to call them on it by...gasp...mentioning the other thread.
Brings out the lawyer in me I can tell you. M'lud, exhibit three, on the Education thread at 2.15.

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/09/2010 15:50

I think (probablY) the point of mumsnet is not to start really serious threads.

This place does kick off in strange style - I remember being quite upset about remarks on a thread of mine about grated cheese. God forbid I actually started a thread about something serious, I would have a nervous breakdown.

Actually that is a complete lie, lately I have started threads about my childhood and my odd relationship with food and have found people to be more than helpful and kind.

So contradicted myself there. I'll shuddup now.

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 15:52

Grated cheese? Is mumsnet for or against?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 01/09/2010 15:54

Sorry can't help laughing but only on mumsnet could there be a barmy about grated fucking cheese!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 01/09/2010 15:55

hmm this thread isn't exactly being very mysterious about who people mean. Hmm

ChippingIn · 01/09/2010 15:59

Well clearly I'm a bit dense then - cos I've no idea Confused

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/09/2010 16:01

Christ did you lot miss that about the ready grated cheese.

It was my AIBU - 'AIBU to think that people who buy ready grated cheese are odd'

Cue 756 posts 'you judgemental BASTARD'

Ish.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 01/09/2010 16:01

I am not going to say obviously Smile but it is clear as anything to me, which seems a bit mean to the person concerned.

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 16:01
GetOrfMoiLand · 01/09/2010 16:01

Sassybeast · 01/09/2010 16:05

As long as the grated cheese isn't bought in M&S. With food vouchers.

ChippingIn · 01/09/2010 16:05

Fanjo Grin

MorrisZapp · 01/09/2010 16:05

My DP has started buying slices of cheese. Not the vile orange stuff, I mean real fresh cheese but ready sliced in a placcy box thing.

It's ludicrous imo but he likes it.
