To think that MN seems to have had quite a lot of newbies over the past few days?

Is it just me?

Seem to have opened up a lot of threads where the poster is new to MN. Not that this is a problem of course - I think it's lovely. Though I am almost certain it has something to do with the massive amount of free advertising MN has had from the Netmums v Mumsnet battle Grin!

Yes they will blank out swearing, and delete what they would deem as 'offensive posts'

You're also not allowed to have such flavoursome nicknames either it's all real names, like 'Sarah B' or 'Mary M'.

Tis all very formal and boring....in a 'Hug's 4 u hun' kind of way of course.

I agree with you though TSC you would make a great moderator.
I shall come and watch that show Wink

I don't understand why everyone is STILL on about blumming nms!

I'm new, and yes I post on both sites. But, I'm getting quite fed up of hearing about all the so called chavs, huns, lovies and fishwives who reside there.

Both sites have their good bits and bad bits, nms seems to have forgotten about all the stupid comments which were thrown around the other day, so why can't we?

In fact I had a dry hump from royalty when I was new, so feel free to join in some frottage.

seaturtle · 26/08/2010 16:26

Been lurking around MN for almost three years, since I bought the MN Pregnancy book. Joined NM after I got DS' red book from HV. Don't know about the rest of the nation but there's a NM's ad at the back of the red books in our city! So NM seems to be the Health Visitors' choice of sites. It's good for local events but the "coffee house" wasn't my scene.

Harryan · 26/08/2010 16:30

Pmsl @ mrsmadwriggle

And there I was just going to say that NM's have only forgotten about it because TSC's moderator friends have deleted said evil threads!!

I brought welcome cake too...slice anyone? :)

MrsMadWriggle · 26/08/2010 16:39

Ditto to the fruit thing but otherwise not fussy. Thanks!

thesecondcoming just wondered whether you name has religious overtones or had a more base meaning...

cornflakequeenie · 26/08/2010 16:41

No love, not memories of a goldfish - just a bit more adult perhaps?

...give me fucking strength....

Pioneer · 26/08/2010 16:53

You wouldn't be able to say that on NM cornflakequeenie Grin
