Middle-class spongers - wake up and smell the coffee!! Grin

This has been a long time in coming.

Hopefully people will now realise they have to pay their own way - CB can and should help those in need of it..."need" not being defined as wanting to shop at M&S Food, Waitrose or even those Tesco Finest thingummies...

Grin
sincitylover · 18/08/2010 21:44

another one here on about 40K who relies on cb.

With rental of £1300 per month I also qualify for minimal housing benefit.

Also living in south east.

TheCrackFox · 18/08/2010 21:46

£3000 for a year at prep school? What is it called, Borstal?

sincitylover · 18/08/2010 21:48

I shop at Lidl and Poundland

BA not you again. You sound like my ex BIL

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 21:48

Oh do fuck off, BarmyArmy. £840 of OUR money goes towards the welfare state so watch who you're calling a sponger.

BarmyArmy · 18/08/2010 21:48

tethersend - who the f*ck has 6 children without ensuring that they are able to provide for them, come rain or shine?

Scum, that's whom.

expatinscotland · 18/08/2010 21:49

I briefly went out with a guy who had views like Barmy.

Briefly.

BarmyArmy · 18/08/2010 21:50

Hopefully this ridiculous benefit will be abolished once and for all...as if it's any business of Govt as to whether we want to have children or not.

BarmyArmy · 18/08/2010 21:51

This thread is going to run and run. I relish the discussion and debate - let's try and avoid the abuse, okay?

toccatanfudge · 18/08/2010 21:51

omg expat - you poor thing Grin

toccatanfudge · 18/08/2010 21:52

pmsl @ "lets try and avoid the abuse" when he's just labelled anyone who had 6 children and then for one reason or another finds themselves reliant on state support after having had them as "scum"

Biscuit
cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 21:52

Well, pfffft. Don't call people spongers when you know little to nothing of their circumstances.

Shopping in Waitrose and M&S? I fucking wish.

usualsuspect · 18/08/2010 21:52

BarmyArmy again [rolls eyes]

TheCrackFox · 18/08/2010 21:53

Can we stop calling people scum.

expatinscotland · 18/08/2010 21:55

I know, tocc. I used to drink a lot :o.

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 21:55

BarmyArmy is a dick. Sorry but she/he/whatever is. In the last few days alone it is;

-claimed that gollywogs are inoffensive little things.

-said people on a wage are MC spongers yet those on benefits are scum Hmm

-said that children must have the same last name as both parents or be damned to eternal hellfire.

I call troll.

OP posts:
edam · 18/08/2010 21:57

Barmy, hang on, on previous threads you've attacked the poor for claiming benefits, now you are attacking the middle class saying benefits should be for those in need.

Do you hate both the poor and the middle classes? Are you the revolutionary wing of the nouveau riche or something?

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 21:58

She's a revolutionary wing of totally fucking loony.

OP posts:
mamatomany · 18/08/2010 21:58

Middle class spongers ??? Middle class is not people earning £45k these days, £45k barely touches the bloody sides when you have 2 kids nevermind any more.

expatinscotland · 18/08/2010 22:00

Later on, whilst drunk, I googled him and found out he was a Kilroy-Silk supporter, tocc. :o

cupcakesandbunting · 18/08/2010 22:00

Agreed, mamatomany.

We are having no more children because we can't afford it. Simple as that.

OP posts:
edam · 18/08/2010 22:00

A £45k wage puts you in something like the top 10% of earners. (A household income of £45k if you have two people working full time is a bit lower than average, though.)

toccatanfudge · 18/08/2010 22:01

the same last name of both parents - oh my poor children - people keep asking me if I'm going to keep my "married" name once my divorce goes through - hell yes - I hated my "maiden" surname with a passion (although my married one is unpronounceable at least it's interesting Grin).

toccatanfudge · 18/08/2010 22:03

haha expat -
