She'll be fucked if she wants the orange cream as well- that's mine

sorry forgot to answer other question.my grandparents brought my sisters and I up so my mum was very fortunate in that respect.
My mum DOES think everyone on benefits a scrounger(maintains if you want a job then you CAN get one) and infact considers me a scrounger cos am sahm :)

Typed out a long response, but it was swallowed.

Well, to them, my children are just some Jocks, not even really worth a thought.

To me, of course, they're everything. I turned my back on entire country for the idea of them.

I won awards and a bit money for a short I wrote about them, me, the ghostwriter. About how the shoes didn't fit anymore, after the first came along; how I gave away the red wedge Kenneth Cole heels. And they walked away, from everything their mother crushed under her wedge heel.

They mean nothing to either of them, Cameron and Clegg, or the money their Scottish father earns for them to eat.

I encourage them every turn I get to leave this place.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Cam/Clegg.

You'll never get it, because you don't care and you don't give a rat's arse.

good. ppoeple like me shouldn't be getting money for 17 year olds. it should be means tested

as should any benefit.

im quite harsh, i don't think old people should have free bus fares and tv licence just cos they're old.

if they are old and poor - fair enough.

expatinscotland · 20/08/2010 02:31

Exactly, custy. It's not too much to ask, IMO.

But hey ho. This a place that did not grant male suffrage to men over 21 who didn't own property, which was next to none, till long on.

So why should they care about the 'coal faces'?

Everyone north of their idea of what is a country is nowt. Same as usual.

Maybe the problem is that if you are mc, you probably only know one or two people 'on benefits' (am assuming that this means unemplyment benefits, and not top up benefits like tax credits?). And if that person is a young single mum, two kids, lots of non essentials - pets/ tattoos/ whatever, it skews your view?

mamatomany · 20/08/2010 12:04

The only single mum I know bought a kitten from us for £400, now yes she works so she can do as she pleases with her money but yes it does skewer your view.

She gets tax credits and housing and council tax benefits.
The kitty is very cute but I wouldn't put it at the top of my priority list personally.

mamatomany · 20/08/2010 13:33

Oh and I know this because we are friends, she's lovely and kids are fantastic but more money than sense IMO, lives in a rented house with more animals than people.

Well if you are getting full housing benefits and all that all the bills are paid for so your £65 JSA plus £20, plus £13 x god knows how many is just for food clothing and toys etc, thats pretty good if you can fall into all the brackets to get all that stuff, better then being on the minimum wage.

£5.50p an hour is a joke.

mamatomany · 20/08/2010 13:49

Oh don't she'd probably have one of yours as well, the one we sold her got pregnant by the local tom with all the health implications that goes with it, but why buy a pedigree to let it get shagged my a moggy I don't know Confused Anyway she kept the kittens too, one of which has now got it's mother pregnant.
I keep pulling her leg that she's going to end up getting eaten by these mad cats one night when she's in her bed.
