Well, I ask you.

I was wiaitng for hordes of people to come and tell the OP that TPB is disgusting, that she should grow her own pine nuts and to make own pesto for her little cherubs.

There were just a few sensible posts talking about TPB.

No rows.
No snidey comments.
Didn't kick off.

What is MN coming to.

Had you started a thread about sausage pasta, there would have been an uproar.

I am so let down by this place.

I started a thread about those GODFORSAKEN advertised play date cards t'other day.

Where the hell were all you lot then?

I can't be arsed with supermarket judge threads.

Some therads are so boring.

I actually said 'oh god here we go' on a regular old crap perennial thread about P&T parking or some such shite.

I want a tuna pasta bake row.

Where's moondog when you want her.

I saw the sausage pasta, was shocked at the # of people who didn't know that 'sausage pasta' is a recognised meal.

Decorhate · 30/07/2010 16:37

I'm bored in RL too. Everyone seems to have gone away already...

TPB - used to be a student staple of ours (shared a house with an American girl who introduced us to it - tuna was quite exotic 25 years ago!). I still do it occasionally when I can't be bothered with proper cooking or cupboards are getting bare.

sapphireblue · 30/07/2010 16:39

what's wrong with tuna pasta bake?

Amonamouse · 30/07/2010 16:39

I was once served tuna pasta bake with a topping of crisps. It was awesome.

sapphireblue · 30/07/2010 16:39

or sausage pasta for that matter?

Tuna has NEVER been exotic, not even 25 years ago
TPB is vom, DD however loves the muck on account of having it fed to her at nursery where all meals are apparently delicious.

on the matter of crisp toppings, my ExP's granny used to use cornflakes (and on one memorable occasion, frosties),to top some veggie pasta concoction. I am not sure if she did this to make sure it was deliberately vile. But it was

LaundryLyne · 30/07/2010 16:57

Who eats "exotic" food every day?

DitaVonCheese · 30/07/2010 17:11

Does River Cafe sausage pasta count? Or have I missed the point?

coraltoes · 30/07/2010 17:12

um Nigel slater has a fab sausage and orechiette recipe with lots of wine, cream, chilli and mushed up sausage meat and Jamie Oliver has one with chilli and sausaage meat. It is def not a kiddy meal....i never thought it to be pasta with a sausage on the side!

as for TPB i bloody lived off it at uni and it did me no harm limps off into the sunset whilst growling

StealthPolarBear · 30/07/2010 17:15

come on GOML, start the threads and we'll all pile on
I have TPB without the T

RubyBuckleberry · 30/07/2010 17:17

shimmerysilverglitter · 30/07/2010 17:21

BitOfFun · 30/07/2010 17:22

I make awesome sausage pasta. With onion, tinned mussels and cheese.

shimmerysilverglitter · 30/07/2010 17:25

Don't Americans make Tuna Casserole as well though? Yuk.

shimmerysilverglitter · 30/07/2010 17:26

Just googled Tuna Casserole and it is, in fact, Tuna Pasta Bake.

shimmerysilverglitter · 30/07/2010 17:27

and tends to be made with a can of Mushroom Soup. I am not quite sure what I feel about this.
