To think that Mumsnet aint what it used to be, because a Tuna Pasta Bake thread went completely unnoticed.

Well, I ask you.

I was wiaitng for hordes of people to come and tell the OP that TPB is disgusting, that she should grow her own pine nuts and to make own pesto for her little cherubs.

There were just a few sensible posts talking about TPB.

No rows.
No snidey comments.
Didn't kick off.

What is MN coming to.

DS is addicted to Tuna Melts.....

What on earth is the magic powder? I just make a cheese sauce then stir in pasta and, well, tuna. Clearly I am missing something. MSG? Crack?

Actually, I don't do this as bloody DH is veggie so we don't get any protein at all. Perhaps DD and I should have this as a comforting lunch some time.

I cannot approve of any meal which includes condensed mushroom soup as an ingredient (hence US slow cooker books are often disappointing).

No need to ask for recipes here - just google the recipe you want - you'll get hundreds of variations on a theme!

ah no fifichef, you are missing the point. it's nice to ask for recipes here, because then the next time you see the person you can thank them again, tell them it was delicious etc. these are the small politenesses that make mn and the world go round. nothing to do with recipes at all, in that regard.

and thanks for the butter tip, reality. sounds like a good rainy day project with the kids, esp if there's bread due out of the machine.
