but the language used on this site is just shocking! if you all got such a perfect , selfulfilling life, why are you wasting it by ranting on this forum, even more..wasting time looking through mums forums to show off how negative parent?s life is. This is just pathetic!!!! You show such a strange hatred to mums and whole idea of parenthood, and created new concepts and meanings around this hate. This looks almost like hitlero style site. I cannot comprehend how can you be so spiteful and why to women that choose to have children, although you are yourself children of mothers that are just the same as the ones that you attacking. Moos.....baybee....that is so childish and sick! And i think you all like little never- to ? grow up children, and that?s why having kids scares you so much. This forum could be a perfect source of perfect psychology PhD thesis.....
sick ideology of never milked cows...mooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Claire Khaw does seem to hate Mumsnet an awful lot so it could well be her starting the moosnet threads.

EveWasFramed72 · 30/07/2010 08:20

I think there is something more to those people than just wanting to be childfree...

I have a number of women friends who have never wanted to have children, but that just means they are the best 'aunties' to their friends' children...better than some 'real' aunties, tbh. They would abhor such a forum, and likely think those were giving other childless women a bad name!

There has to be a whole lot more to this brand of hatred that's not just about having/not having kids...

McSnail · 30/07/2010 08:21

I had a wee read, and then stopped because it was all a bit samey and dull.

Horses for courses - if they want to vent, fine. I don't need to go back to the site. No harm done.

And - 58 users? hahaha.

Mum2Teens · 30/07/2010 08:22

WOW aren't they all bitter and twisted. Perhaps they doth protest too much....!

Wordsonascreen · 30/07/2010 08:24

tbh thinking about it this thread is ill advised the last thing we want is a 58 person board war

So

Lets just hold hands and spread the love (A'LA Hully..where is she BTW not seen her in yonks?)

LynetteScavo · 30/07/2010 08:25

Just be grateful that we don't have to go looking to other forums for our conversation subjects!

Well, apart from this one.

Would people please stop posting excerpts? Especially containing usernames? It's only going to hurt any unwitting person who reads them on here.

LynetteScavo · 30/07/2010 08:35

Having read a bit more, I've started to feel quite sorry for them...they must have had hideous childhoods.

LittleMisscantbewrong · 30/07/2010 08:36

please don't post on here what they've said

LuluF · 30/07/2010 08:37

Do you think this would have been what Miss Haversham would have done if (she wasn't a fictional character and) she'd had access to the internet? You can almost imagine them sitting in their dusty wedding dresses...

The one who starts the threads about here keeps going on about benefits, I am pretty sure its a certain vitriolic woman who has been banned from here, I have already decided to ignore and disregard long ago, will go back to doing so!!

Oenopod · 30/07/2010 08:41

Did anyone listen to Woman's Hour yesterday? It was very interesting to get a balanced view of not having children. Much more so than that website is probably going to be.

some highly intelligent and very self-aware women who made the choice not to have children for various reasons.

A much more reasoned look at the 'other side'

SPeaking as a 35 yr old who has sort of been TTC for 5 years but very half-heartedly because I'm not even sure I want children.

capricorn76 · 30/07/2010 08:41

They must be very very unhappy people and I actually feel sorry for them. I honestly don't believe you would hate pregnant women and kids so much if you had simply chosen not to have kids. These women seem too bitter for that, I think they can't have kids.

It took me a very long time to get pregnant and I must admit I did find seeing happily pregnant women hard sometimes because I really wanted to be one of them. Some mothers do go on about their children a bit too much and can be very annoying believing that the world should revolve around their kids. However, I never hated them or called them names. It wasn't their fault that I was having issues. I just tried to minimalise my exposure to them such as hide people who brag about their pregnancy on Facebook etc. I think having fertility issues taught me to be careful how I handle my own pregnancy thus there are no scan pictures or pictures of my growing bump on Facebook and I limit the time I talk about pregnancy to anyone, I make sure I discuss other things.

As someone else has said I think there should be more support for women having fertility issues because this is what I think many of the women saying those sick things on that forum are having. I think they are desperately unhappy and haven't chosen to be childless at all. In fact one of them in particular clearly needs counseling.

Rockbird · 30/07/2010 08:48

I can understand the denial thing to an extent. I'm very overweight and as such I pretend that I'm not interested in fashion, or looking stylish or going out and meeting people. But actually I am, but I know I'll look crap in whatever I wear and I know that people will judge me so I pretend that sort of thing doesn't interest me and I get quite fed up with what I like to think of as fashion obsessed airheads, it irritates me. But deep down I know why.

This takes it to a whole new level though if this is partly what's behind it.

FessaEst · 30/07/2010 08:48

Sorry, have asked for my post to be removed. Will hide this thread

Morloth · 30/07/2010 08:50

You could just not go on the forum you know.

Goblinchild · 30/07/2010 08:51

You mean like changing channels?

Oops, didn't notice the users name in the bit I quoted, will ask HQ to delete.

However, as for generally asking people not to paste/comment on specific things they've said on the site linked to in the OP, the title is quite explicit so you probably need to hide this thread/not read it.
