but the language used on this site is just shocking! if you all got such a perfect , selfulfilling life, why are you wasting it by ranting on this forum, even more..wasting time looking through mums forums to show off how negative parent?s life is. This is just pathetic!!!! You show such a strange hatred to mums and whole idea of parenthood, and created new concepts and meanings around this hate. This looks almost like hitlero style site. I cannot comprehend how can you be so spiteful and why to women that choose to have children, although you are yourself children of mothers that are just the same as the ones that you attacking. Moos.....baybee....that is so childish and sick! And i think you all like little never- to ? grow up children, and that?s why having kids scares you so much. This forum could be a perfect source of perfect psychology PhD thesis.....
sick ideology of never milked cows...mooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Just seen they've got 58 active users. Hardly a force to be reckoned with then.

Reading it is quite funny, reminds me of my mother's neighbour who was obsessed with my parents garden. She has the biggest house in the village and was completely fuming that anyone dared lived next to her, so she frequently crept into my parents garden and cut back and lopped stuff left right and centre.

I wonder if coping with the decision not to have children, for some, is just too much and therefore you have to hate them just to protect your own feelings. The name calling and competitive nastiness is rather pathetic and vile.

LittleMisscantbewrong · 30/07/2010 07:49

That's horrible - as someone else said why waste time being so vitriolic about people with children if you're so happy in your choices? And how easily they get annoyed!

Think they must be sad, unfulfilled people if that is how they spend their time. The whole site is one big moan (at least on mumsnet only some of it is )

abshirley · 30/07/2010 07:51

I actually thought there were some interesting points made. Yes some of the language was a little extreme, but doesn't that happen on most forums? Thankfully we do live in a society where we can express our opinions and choose our own lifestyles to some extent.

The one who seems full of hate and loathing reads almost exactly like Claire Khaw..

Rockbird · 30/07/2010 07:59

I found it really upsetting tbh. I don't blame them for having a whinge, entirely their prerogative etc. But the language used particularly in relation to very small children made me feel ill. Be nasty about the parents if you must but why would you be so filled with hatred towards a baby?

I really wish I hadn't seen it.

58 users? PMSL

YABU, they're not sick, just hilarious.

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 30/07/2010 08:06

I just feel sorry for them.

Being that angry must be a horrible way to live.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 30/07/2010 08:06

If there were no "moos" as they call us, the world would die, am tempted to join just to point this out.

BarmyArmy · 30/07/2010 08:09

What duchesse said.

OP, so let me get this right - you visited a forum the content of which clearly does not apply to you and have since then chosen to be offended by it?!

Don't go there - simples.

3cutedarlings · 30/07/2010 08:10

Good god!!! what a vile bunch!!

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 30/07/2010 08:12

Don't bother, Fanjo, really. 58 people who don't like children aren't worth your time.

Wordsonascreen · 30/07/2010 08:12

I was slightly confused by the OP as I thought she was talking about "this site" ie MN.

The childfree site is just sqwarking I refuse to believe people really can get THAT worked up about anything.

[oh the outrage]

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 30/07/2010 08:12

No, I am not going to get involved.

It's just a bit strange to say the least.

faddle · 30/07/2010 08:12

Yikes, some really hideous language on there. Very offensive before even considering the terms they use to describe babies and children.

People who like kids = normal, healthy opinion
people who dont like kids= normal, healthy opinion
people expressing that level of hatred and anger towards ANY other member of society for any reason (like race, gender, age) is not normal or healthy imho.

Litchick · 30/07/2010 08:12

There is a need, I think, for debate around childless women, and how they're sidelined in society....but this forum is so not it.

sweetnitanitro · 30/07/2010 08:14

Well, everyone needs a hobby I suppose. They might find basket weaving more relaxing though.

sanielle · 30/07/2010 08:14

I agree Litchick

Igglybuff · 30/07/2010 08:14

YANBU

Looks like it's one person starting all the moo threads (I've not really read much). I feel a little bit sad for them TBH. Poor things.

differentnameforthis · 30/07/2010 08:15

Just be grateful that we don't have to go looking to other forums for our conversation subjects! They seems to have lots of threads about 'moosnetters', copying & pasting our posts!

Their lives must be very boring to have to attack others to make themselves feel better!

Ilythia · 30/07/2010 08:16

YY fanjo, I would put a lot of money on Claire being on that site.

But still, they are entitled to their views, however distasetful you may find it. But do be careful posting on MN about posts on another site about posts on MN, the internet may well eat itself and then what would we do?

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 30/07/2010 08:18

Well if they want to post that then let them get on with it, no one is forcing us to look over there likewise no one is forcing HighlandCoffee to come over here.

It's kind of like those people who read the Daily Mail to get wound up by it, bit of visual S&M if you like.

Leave them be, they seem happy in their own special way.
