To think that Denise Fergus should have stayed at home?

I don't understand why she (mum of Jamie Bulger) had to go and sit in court when John Venables was being sentenced for his more recent crime. I will never forget the horror of hearing what happened to her little boy, and I know that she will never get over it - but how can it possibly help her to keep appearing on tv and making statements about what happens now? She seems to feel she has a right to be told all about everything, and while I can sympathise with her opinion to a certain extent I don't know that she does really. I saw her being interviewed when he was arrested earlier in the year and she said she'd had to keep her children off school because of the publicity - but she seems to be generating a lot of it herself.
Please don't think me hard hearted, it's just that I don't get it.

Yes, children get seperated from their parents EVERY DAY. Thats kind of our point...

thefirstmrsDeVere · 25/07/2010 22:17

You 'imagine the newspaper deals help her'

Help her with what?

Do you have children desanimaux?

If you do, are any of them dead?

If not what do you imagine would 'help' you if they were?

A nice car, a pretty frock, some shoes?

NOTHING helps when your child dies. No amount of money makes it ok. Grief is not affected by wealth.

Or are you saying you would be happy to sacrifice your child for some cash?

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:18

Oh well, let's all just tow the line then, everyone else says so ....it must be true!
Nope, just the section of Mners who feel great when they come over all "JamieBulger/Maddie/BabyPeter/Gawd-Bless-Em/Hang The Monsters!"

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:19

SalFresco
No. I'm really not. But comfort yourself with that thought if it makes you feel better.

LadyBlaBlah · 25/07/2010 22:20

You really are a cock

AgentZigzag · 25/07/2010 22:20

But Noddy, if they remained faceless and anonymous, nobody would give a shit that yet another child has been tortured and killed. Nobody would care that children did it to him.

They'd just be another statistic, and who gives a crap about statistics?

When you can James' face when he was happy, and see the pain on Denise's face we know how we'd feel if it were us, and we can then want to stop it happening to other children and their parents.

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:21

Because I disagree?

Nancy66 · 25/07/2010 22:22

not because you disagree but because you're passing off ill informed, sick gossip as 'fact'

SalFresco · 25/07/2010 22:22

Feel better about what?

FallingWithStyle · 25/07/2010 22:23

If you are so sure about your arguments then why hit back with seperate accusations?

People are questioning your comments about Denise Fergus. Make your other points by all means but dont try and twist what people are getting offended about.

You are entitled to your opinion about societys attitude to crimes like this one.

But it is very wrong to make nonsense claims as though they were fact about a real live humna being who does not deserve some faceless no-mark using them as a means to inject some excitement into their evening.

nickschick · 25/07/2010 22:24

I hate how people can post like this on mumsnet.

may god forgive me for saying this - Desanimeux,I hope that one day maybe you are not 'watching' your dc and that they disappear-I dont wish any harm to your dc just that you for a few minutes experience the absolute terror that Denise fergus felt.

I hope that you are just a nasty troll as Im sure no real Mum would say such dreadful hurtful things.

smallorange · 25/07/2010 22:25

more and more I come on mumsnet and am just speechless.

Give poor Denise a break, eh.

LadyBlaBlah · 25/07/2010 22:26

Oh and telling the mother of a murdered child that she should have looked after him better and then none of this would have happened.

I presume you think this about all parents of murdered children - you know that they could have looked after them better - please do clarify - Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, Sarah Payne, Caroline Hogg ?

SandyisinCaldwell · 25/07/2010 22:27

Desanimeux: you are truly disgusting, I don't know how you sleep at night.

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:29

I'm not talking about "all parents of murdered children"
Talk about taking the thread away from the point!

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:29

They are not "nonsense claims"
I am confident that they are true.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 25/07/2010 22:30

Des were you actually there? Yes or no?

LadyBlaBlah · 25/07/2010 22:31

Well what makes Denise so different?

Holly and Jessica were unsupervised

Caroline Hogg was out on her own

Sarah Payne was unsupervised

Why do you reserve your condemnation for Denise Fergus?

FallingWithStyle · 25/07/2010 22:32

no, you're just talking about this child and this mother...because you have "friends and acquaintences" who all happened to be there

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:32

hobnobsaremyfave
No, I personally was not there. But someone I know was

LadyBlaBlah · 25/07/2010 22:32

(and might I add that I dispute your claims that James Bulger was 'wandering about')

smallorange · 25/07/2010 22:33

Don't you think that some things are best just left to lie? that some things are best never said?

No one is impressed by this. desanimaux, shut up.

desanimaux · 25/07/2010 22:33

LadyBlahBlah
Why drag in all the child murders you can dredge up?

nickschick · 25/07/2010 22:33

Are you related to one of those boys des?

If you ask me the best thing those boys ever did for themselves was murder poor Jamie- if not for that they were destined to lead a scummy pissy life but for their evil actions they were well rewarded with first rate care - paid for by us,the taxpayer, holidays, education and all the perks that go with wealth .......maybe you are part of that shit too? benefiting from the shit fuckin scum you raise?

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 25/07/2010 22:34

Nuff said Des nuff said.
