Well done @Needtokickthehabit for the brave steps you have taken that is simply amazing ! And I was the same thinking why didn't I do this years ago but that's the past and you are fully charging into the now and future you have definitely got this, I'm glad you told your DP and maybe they might be more understanding and seeing it with their own eyes you are taking these huge steps to make your life better. Definitely keep posting here, you got this!

Thank you @Determineddoris this thread has been so helpful and I am not sure I could have done what I have done without the continued support of everyone on here. Is there another thread as I think this is the final page for posting on?

Needtokickthehabit · 05/09/2023 11:42

Today is already the longest day ever. I just want to have popped my three pills for the day and go to bed and wake up tomorrow feeling fresh and happy.

Amdone123 · 05/09/2023 12:57

@Needtokickthehabit it's only your first day so it's bound to be a difficult one. Is there anything you can do to distract yourself.
Tomorrow you will wake up refreshed and it will get easier.

Determineddoris · 05/09/2023 13:12

You are doing so so well @Needtokickthehabit keep going my lovely!
Can't believe this thread is nearly full I didn't realise I can set up a new one and try and tag and I'll link it here. X

Keep busy @Needtokickthehabit . Get something really productive done, a cupboard cleared out? Drawers reorganised? Have a plan to be busy this evening, can you see a friend who doesn't drink for a walk? Go swimming? Then early night. You can do this. 1 day at a time, no need to think of tomorrow yet, just today.
