When did your 2nd baby come compared to 1st?

Completely anecdotal I know, but just intrigued if second babies generally come earlier or later than first babies.. 😊

She was due on the 26th May, but arrived by forced eviction on the 3rd June. I'm almost convinced she would still be in there if it wasn't for pitocin.

First was due date +1 day.
Second 35.5 weeks.

DS2 was a couple of days later on due date. Plus he didn't make such a meal of it and change his mind halfway through!

I'm glad DS1 was a 39 weeker. I was too vast to be able to get off a sofa unassisted and either had to sit on a kitchen chair or in bed when alone in the house, and had to stand sideways to reach the kitchen tap!

1st was due date plus a week
2nd was dragged out kicking and screaming at 2 weeks overdue after fighting all attempts at removal by induction by twisting round to present sideways and refusing to budge so ended up an emergency section. Was definitely too comfy in there!

2nd 5 days early, and very quick!

1st - 1 day before due date .
2nd - a week before due date

No 1 5 or 6 days late (labour started 40+4 and lasted 38ish hours)

no 2 was 4 days early and an all round faster labour at 14 hours.

both weighed within 2oz of each other though dispite about 10 days between them with no 2 being slightly heavier.
I think I just carry to a certain weight as no 2 is currently a 91st centile lump while no 1 has always bumped along on the 50th.

First was 38+5,
second was on his due date

First 2 weeks late, second 6 weeks early, so mine was a massive difference. Never had a third.

@DressingPafe wow that is a big difference! I’m 34+3 now, yikes, hope she doesn’t come too soon lol. Out of interest did you have any inclination that you might go into labour soon before it started or did it take you by complete surprise?
