ok - some of you are probably wondering on on EARTH I've managed to get 3 mystery eggs from my coop in the space of 10 minutes

this is the answer. It's perfectly legimiate (Zynga would never have let it stay in the community guides if it wasn't).

It's called coop stuffing and I found out about it yesterday while looking for something else on the forusm.

I forget to empty my coop before I went to bed - so harvested 20 chickens in one go.

But then I did the 5 chicken method - I emptied the 20 harvested chickens out, put 5 more in that were ready to harvest and the collected the eggs, did that one more time.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and do the 5 chicken method with all of my chickens Xmas Grin

grr - keep forgetting that the christmas smilies have gone LOL

aberita · 08/01/2010 09:23

Ah, that explains it! Thanks for letting us in on that, it's not something I'd have ever thought to do otherwise. Must try it out this evening - if I've got enough hens outside the coop to harvest. My coop is filling up nicely now, thanks to all these golden eggs; I only have two black ones still left inside now.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 09:26

yes I'd been wondering how some of my other friends on my list produced seemingly unlimited quanities of things.

Then stumbled across the guide on the forums and was - takes a bit of time emptying them out and putting the ready to harvest ones in - but obviously worth it LOL

I have a tip for keeping zoo world running (as if you leave it "idle" for so long the zoo day stops and you stop earning money) without having to go back and refresh the page every so often as well if anyone wants it.

lostinwales - scrub the request I sent you - i've managed to adopt one!

ALFA, do you have a honey badger you could lend me to get through level 22 on ZW? I could gift it straight back, simce htey are very rare!

It's the only thing I need now to get through...

RoseBlossoms · 08/01/2010 09:52

Another tip about fv although no doubt you clever lot will all know this. with the 1/5 fuel refils if your not going to be plowing ect for a bit just fill the bar a tiny bit and when you come bakc you'll have gained a full bar of fuel. iyswim?

Thanks for the chicken tips i'll have to do that in the morning! Ive been selling chickens as well!!

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:08

silverfrog - what are your initials again >

Oh yes rose - I discovred that - basically wait until the bar is full/nearly full - but 1/5 in and it'll go up to a nearly empty bar again and then you wait for that to fill up

silverfrog · 08/01/2010 10:12

CDH - pic of me +baby (level 39 on FV if you need extra help!)

Thankyou!

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:19

oh of course - you're the one who every time I look at your picture you look like the spitting image of my BF from school days LOL.

OP posts:
silverfrog · 08/01/2010 10:22

really? how bizarre. I am assuming your friend's name didn't start with a C?

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:22

honey badger sent

OP posts:
Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:23

no it didn't - and I know you're not her as I also have her on my FB friends - and have met up with her in recent past as well.

OP posts:
silverfrog · 08/01/2010 10:31

thankyou! now just need to tick over a bit of money, and I'll be romping thruogh the next few levels too

I'll send it on to lostinwales, if you don't mind? as I know she's stuck for one too, unless you are desperate for it back immediately?

thought I'd ask, as we moved around all over for most of my life - andit's a very small world sometimes!

flier · 08/01/2010 10:34

What have you all done with your christmas decorations? I bought another place to store them in but it seems you can only have one store - is this correct? washoping to keep them all so i could get another ribbon

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:37

that's ok - you can keep it - I still have 14 of them left - do what you want with it (just don't kill it and eat it ).

For ticking money over I this website.

Got to the home page for zoo - copy and past the URL - post in to the box (making sure you take the extra bit out LOL) tell it how often you want to refresh the page - and set it away, as long as you it open you never have to remember to keep going back to your zoo to start the zoo day going again

mrspink27 · 08/01/2010 10:42

Fed up looking at the Xmas tree now... can we get rid of them yet? and how? Thanks AWLFA for your coop stuffing link... i know what I am going to be doing today!

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:43

flier - I didn't buy/keep any decorations LOL.

mrspink - I got rid of mine yesterday - use the delete tool .

OP posts:
silverfrog · 08/01/2010 10:45

thanks for that link - I tend ot just leave it open, as am back to the computer often enough during the day anyway (currently harrassing LEA over dd1's statement, so lots of emails being sent all day long!) but will bookmark it for when I finally get to do something else

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:47

I've been leaving it open and checking it every so often until I found that yesterday - but I've also found it's incredibly easy to get caught up doing something else in another tab(s) (MN, live feed hatching mystery eggs and adopting animals, tending farm, checking weather) and suddenly go back and realise that the zoo day has stopped

OP posts:
silverfrog · 08/01/2010 10:51

I have also discovered that ZW works on my itouch too (FV sadly doesn't) not that i am obsessed or anyhting and so even when I do actually get a rare moment of not finetooth-combing ridiculous documents from the LEA I can keep ZW ticking over nicely

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:54

I@m busy treasure hunting now - want to buy some more animals and try and get my daily profit to £100k - I'm on £98k right now....

OP posts:
mrspink27 · 08/01/2010 10:57

I have tried deleting on FB and on FV.com but only have the option to move it.

silverfrog · 08/01/2010 10:57

did you know that if you go into zoo info on each zoo you visit, and then see who has recently visited that person, you can then visit their zoos too (obv only worth it if they are not frieends of yours too!) and find soem treasure?

NOT foolproof, and i don't think you can switch islands on the larger zoos, but I have picked up a fair bit that way.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:57

you need to use the red (I think??) shovel from the tool bar the bottom.

OP posts:
Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 10:59

yes I did know that - but I already spend quite a long time visiting my own friends (130 odd of them) -and like you say it's not fool proof - I'm getting £250k from my "top" friends now and yesterday was getting about £40k from the treasure in the zoos where there's just 3 animals (so basically they don't really play).
