It's just too difficult to decide.

I think I'd just keep my life similar, but upgrade in many ways. Especially regarding holidays.

Oh and I probably need 17 months at a Health Spa to get to my ideal weight.

Easy Peasy.

I'd set up adult provision for learning disabilities that would be suitable for ds1. It would be on a farm and would offer residential, day and respite services.

And I would die knowing he was safe.

Oh wow sdmt that's a bit perspective-making.

Ooh I don't know, there is a charity near me called nine lives, it collects furniture from people willing to donate and sells it to people on a low income. Not only this it provides training and support to people with mh issues and ld's, also provides volunteer opportunities/training/experience for those wanting to get back into work. Triple win, I love it, I'd give them shed loads of cash to expand to a few more centres. we have had so many lovely things from there for not much money, it's been a life saver and the people are amazing.

After all the charity giving I would go on the holiday of a lifetime.

Don't think I would buy this house as it is council owned, surely more ethical to leave it as social housing.

I would rent a fab house whilst searching for a dream house. Also an intensive driving course.

Obviously sort out friends and family.

Some kind of major weightloss/makeover program.

And then erm fuck knows really, but I'd have fun finding out.

I would outbid ByThePowerfGreySkull for the Jason Statham dance

Chaos I've thought about it far too much! The one excellent adult provision I would have been happy to send ds1 to shut down because SS wouldn't fund places there without an almighty battle. They stalled long enough to make it unviable (in the long term it would have filled but by delaying it couldn't). There isn't anywhere else for him that I've come across. So my mind has turned to lottery winnings!

Jason Satham sent me a signed photo to raffle for ds1's school - maybe I should have asked for a dance to be raffled instead

caramelwaffle · 28/07/2010 00:30

Saintlydamemrsturnip - yes, you should have

I'd give the vast bulk of it away TBH, I think that amount of money would be poison. But I wouldn't just give it way randomly - I'd set up up several charities and trusts for pet concerns of mine. I'd mostly like to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds or those who have come out of care, to encourage them NOT get pregnant too soon, and NOT end up in prison, and to stay in school/college. I'd enlist people I admire as inspirational mentors.

I'd keep around 10 mill for myself and put away about 2 mill each for my children, share a bit around family and good friends.
