What?
Why?
How do you know?
Only catch it occasionally but it won't be the same without her!

HarmOkne · 25/03/2009 16:09

Is she? Who said?

MrsMattie · 25/03/2009 16:10

She hasn't seemed the same since that whole 'gastric bypass' public outcry.

choppychopster · 25/03/2009 16:10

Breaking News

Fern Britton has quit This Morning after ten years on the show.
Britton quits This Morning

The 51-year-old presenter, who will leave the programme at the end of the current series, said she will miss the team, but is looking forward to new projects and spending time with her family.

Britton said: "After ten years with This Morning, I have decided to leave the show at the end of the current series. I will present my last show on July 17, my birthday, which seems somehow appropriate.

"The This Morning team are simply the best and I will miss them all very much but I am looking forward to the freedom of exploring other things I want to do, and also spend more time with my wonderful family.

"So, many thank yous to all our viewers who have shown me so much kindness and loyalty."

Co-presenter Phillip Schofield said he wished Britton well for the future and looked forward to starting the new series in the autumn.

"I'm obviously very sad that, after ten triumphant years on This Morning, Fern has decided to leave the sofa," he said on his website.

"I've been lucky enough to work with her for six of those years and can honestly say that they have been amongst the best of my career.

"We have cried together over stories and we have laughed ourselves breathless too. From day one we just 'clicked' and I'm really proud of what we have achieved together on the show."

not Eammons wife or Fiona Phillips - dear god no NOR any of the fecking loose woman either

right, time for a MN intervention - if we can't have Fern we at least want the right to choose who instead

suggestions please

dizzydixies · 25/03/2009 16:39

I hear Judy Finnigan is looking for work ROFL

Fimbo · 25/03/2009 16:55

Fern has slimmed down and looks fantastic and seems to have a blast with fab personality, poor Judy is lame in comparison and hasn't aged well imho.

mrsmaidamess · 25/03/2009 16:56

PLEEEAAAASE not Fiona 'Two short planks' Phillips

dizzydixies · 25/03/2009 16:57

agree completely Fimbo, so who WOULD you choose?!?

bluebump · 25/03/2009 16:59

Fern doesn't seem to have had her heart in it as she did years ago when her and Phillip were falling about laughing every day.

dizzydixies, I caught the start of Loose Women today and Fiona Phillips was presenting it, hopefully she'll stay there. I don't think I can watch This Morning anymore if she presents it.

Fimbo · 25/03/2009 16:59

It needs to be someone who can think on the spur of the moment and giggle with Phil. Perhaps Claudia Winkleman? Holly Willoughby is nice an' all but she is too sickly sweet, you need someone who has a hearty chuckle.

mrsmaidamess · 25/03/2009 17:01

Will she take her gabbling husband with her when she goes? I can't understand a word that man says.

mrsmaidamess · 25/03/2009 17:02

this is funny at the beginning. It won't be the same with anyone else

Fimbo · 25/03/2009 17:02

Fark me, it needs to be Fern. Don't go.

Actually we shout start a Keep Fern campaign.

If wooden top or Ruth Langsford get the job, I will do a one woman protest on the Southbank.

Fimbo · 25/03/2009 17:07

I think you are safe KEYS as Garraway is pregnant.
