IMO there are some huge double standards wrt this situation.
Now I haven't made any secret of the fact that I don't like this whole publicity thing at all and my stance on this hasn't changed. But...
Before her illness, Jade was an intensely disliked individual, following her actions on Celebrity (and I use the term loosely) big brother. But since she has become ill it would seem that all that has been put in the past and that we must forgive and forget because she is dying. But for some reason that principal doesn't apply to her loved ones?
Regardless of what Jack has done in the past, his partner is dying, and maybe, just maybe, he is hurting too? Maybe, just maybe, the fact she is dying has made him realize what he has done in the past? Sometimes we don't know what we've got until we've lost it.
Regardless of people's personal views on cheating partners, Jade has obviously forgiven him, and wants to spend the rest of her life (and for her the rest of her life will probably be the next few weeks) with him, and he with her.
IMO it is no less distasteful to judge the past misdemeaners of the bereaved partner than it is to judge the one who is dying.
