My cousin used to make rugs.

We really, really used to take the piss out of him.

i think we scarred him for life.

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2009 22:22

for the first time for ages i didnt put mine on till this evening.had a late night so got up late then had to do washing and ironing .then it wa dinner time so it wasnt till after that i put it on ,i sometimes leave mine on all night by accident

sometimes you look at clothes and think I could make that and it would be better quality and cheaper too.

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2009 22:25

rugs are easy ,you just follow the pattern ,but the dog one has about 14 different shades which are all very similar so it makes it hard work.It really needs doing in the daytime in natural light .

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2009 22:26

i onlyhave totry and sew a bit of hem and the cotton gets knotted up ! so i know i will never make anything. But lots of people can make lovely stuff.go on ,give it a try.

Tn0g · 08/02/2009 22:28

G's cold is making it impossible to get to sleep so lots of wailing going on.

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2009 22:29

with a wrap around skirt it would mostly be straight seams wouldnt it and the waist band.I have a 3metre lengthof material which the kenyan people sent me over for xmas.My friend is going to make it into a long skirt and a short one for hols. Its all black and white and one half pattern is the same as the other half ,i think its been tye dyed or something.

OP posts:
Tn0g · 08/02/2009 22:30

M

I haven't offended you about making rugs, I hope.

i mean just because you're making one doesn't make you a looper.

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2009 22:31

I LOVED my Collie.

He used to tear off and chase the sheep in the field then he would turn up COVERED in cow/sheep Poo... Farmer used to be

He was a fun dog.

I miss him.

I have more snow again.

Tn0g · 09/02/2009 07:55
