we ALSO HAVE SUNSHINE AND oops yes it is very nice. Cold but sunny. I have someone sitting opposite me with the same RL name as you Wotz, are you sitting opposite me?

Dc played in snow t'other night. Then 1 big bad child came along and threw snow-ball with stone on it into dc face.

I resisted going to his mother and voicing my views as I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If I see said child again I shall throw large snowball at him, and put it down his back, and/or roll him around the park and turn him into a snowman, yes that's it. Childish but effective.

just the once.

Sparkles, my family had a collie /sheepdog when I was growing-up but haven't had one since leaving home.

The sheepdog was completely neurotic, poor thing. It really needed wide open spaces and instead was living in the middle of a Dublin suburb with a mad family of well-meaning but totally useless dog lovers.

My dad was offered it via one of his patients, and for the first week it was with us db and I would fight over who got to walk /feed/cuddle/dress it up in hat and scarf and wheel it up and down the garden, but of course we soon lost interest.

Patients who came to the surgery [attached to the house] would always enquire after the dog....never about us as the dog was always round and about my dad's office whilst he had a look at their various ailments.

sparklesandwine · 06/02/2009 17:08

ah yes t people are often more interested in animals than people

sparklesandwine · 06/02/2009 17:09

Àfternoon.

Sparkles, hope Poppy is in much better form today.

Give her a squidgey squeezy hug from me.

The dog [Molly] is just lovely.

Gentle, quiet and already very loving.

We've all fallen head over heels in love and just can't believe the cruelty she's experienced during the first half of her life.

It's our mission to fatten her up gradually and we can't wait till her coat grows back.

She comes up to be petted so readily and just gazes deep into your eyes.

She wears a very smart fleecy dog jacket when she's outside to stop her from getting too cold, which our neighbour, Tom, thinks is hilarious, 'Jaysus, a dog wearing a coat. You'll be putting little boots on her next'

I think she'd be very frightened of the donkey tbh so she's restricted to the gardens surrounding the house and dh, G and I have already taken her to the beach, which she seemed to love.

At the moment she's lying under the window in the [laughingly called] office whilst I tell you all about her.

I'm in love.

mummylin2495 · 07/02/2009 13:44

glad she is settling in ok ,its quite an ordeal for her and i expect she will want a lot of love .
sparkles I rock !!!!!

The dog is a brilliant distraction from some problems right now in the house of TnOg.

We have bright sunshine here today.

So much better for the mind and soul than that God awful rain and wind we had for a while, although the snow was fantastic and I'd love it to come back and turn everything white again.

I seem to have developed an addiction to doughy sliced white bread smothered in butter.

That's very weird isn't it?

I keep eating some and then jumping on the weighing scales.

wotzy · 07/02/2009 20:19

I would love a dog, but I'd have to have one that didn't bark while I was on the phone.

We always had pet dogs when I was a child. We have a purring cat. Its smaller and hasn't learnt to make a wooof sound.

I hope Poppy is alright.

mummylin2495 · 07/02/2009 21:47

Sh sounds lovely and im glad its a dstraction for you all. wotz have your visitors gone now ?

OP posts:
wotzy · 07/02/2009 22:55

Sis gone, mum has extended her stay. I think I'll manage. We have all been on the ps3 all night in stitches. Good to hear some laughter.

Tn0g · 08/02/2009 09:40

Well done, Wotzy.

You survived.

WE HAVE SNOW and lots of it too.

G has a bad cold and has taken to the sofa with a duvet, loo roll, hot water bottle strapped to his back and dog at his feet.

My compulsion to eat white bread has disappeared overnight, thank God.

wotzy · 08/02/2009 09:58

Still no snow, frost, but no snow. It must have all fallen in the sea on the way over from you Tnog.

wotzy · 08/02/2009 09:59

I have to go, catch up later.

wotzy · 08/02/2009 16:19

Bit of snow, now stopped, no snow on ground. dd2 wants me to drive to a hill with snow but I have explained, if we did it would be dark by the time we'd get there. This is not good. It is very flat here. No hills for miles. I am eating a cake instead and sitting by the fire sewing. I sound like old mother hubbard.

Tn0g · 08/02/2009 18:14

Cake by the fire sounds good.

What ya sewing?

Have you had a look at the clothkits site?

I'm thinking of making one of the skirts.

Snow's all gone here except for the tips of the Wicklow hills.

The dog woke up at 5.30 this morning, as I got up to go to the loo, when I returned to the bedroom she was in the bed next to dh.

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2009 19:05

hi everyone ,wotz gald to see you had a laugh last night ,we did too till 3am this morning ! playing on the wii.I have been very busy today catching up on washing and ironing, still have loads to get dry,all our snow has now gone ,im hoping for some more.Tnog i hope your dh realised it wasnt you next to him!!!

Or did your dh think you'd had a rough night and your tongue was too rough for french kissing, so just rolled over?
