I was expecting sad news, not devastation.

HeyUpDuckie · Today 17:22

NOT THE RICE KRISPIES!!!

angelopal · Today 17:24

They are awful now. Unfortunately will not be buying them anymore.

BobBobPigeon · Today 17:25

They have also done this to coco pops too.

noblegiraffe · Today 17:25

DD said the other day that they tasted all weird and crunchy and we checked the expiry date in case they were off.

She is not a fan.

LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway · Today 17:29

Haven't had these since I was 10. Not really fussed personally.

Didn't know there was a lack of rice. That is a bit of a worry!

Unrelated, but... I have been having a problem getting Bisto frozen meals this past 4 weeks or so though... Apparently there is a problem in the supply chain....Shock

WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Arlanymor · Today 17:33

I heard it was because Pop was involved in a sordid sex scandal with Cocoa the Monkey and that they are using the rice supply chain issue to try and cover it up. You've heard of the PPT super injunction? His real name is Peter 'Pop' Thomas. Mucky little elf...

hexsnidgett · Today 17:36

WTAF?

shellyleppard · Today 17:36

@Arlanymor this made me Lol 😂 😂 😂 😂

Pancakeflipper · Today 17:36

Is nothing sacred????
One of my fav comfort foods...
I shall ration myself with my box that includes PoP.

pineapplecrushed · Today 17:39

They are awful. I gave them to my kids without saying anything and they both immediately frowned and refused to eat them. The texture and taste have completely changed. What a cheek the box saying they taste the same!

It's been a long day, I couldn't help myself - I needed a laugh too!

I think Cocoa is planning to write a tell-all autobiography about it called 'Cereal Offender'... I'll stop now, I promise!

Can't see how dumping fucking poison gluten in to bulk them out and thereby excluding all gluten/wheat intolerant/coeliacs that would be able to manage the 'May accidentally contain because it's in the same factory as wheat' warning is going to do anything to increase sales.

Oh, well.

Monty36 · Today 17:40

What they mean is it is cheaper. No pop. No good. Why can manufacturers just not leave things alone.

shellyleppard · Today 17:41

@Arlanymor do you think that the person concerned is a cereal offender??? 😂😂😂😂

Maddy70 · Today 17:41

Hmmm I heard pop has an injunction against him currently. Explains a lot

Beautifulbeard · Today 17:42

I'd rather they gave us the option of paying more for the real deal and market this abomination as a totally different cereal at a lower price point.

OP posts:

We definitely share the same sense of humour!!!! 😆😆😆😆

shuggles · Today 17:57

No doubt, some jackass will claim it's a conspiracy in which Kellogg's agreed to manufacture an inferior version of their product to spread climate change propaganda.

ginasevern · Today 17:59

And then they came for our Rice Krispies.

IzzyLeng · Today 18:01

I couldn’t give a shit about rice crispies to be honest but I am a bit alarmed that this has been done due to a rice shortage! Surely that has wider implications? Or is more of a cost saving thing?

shellyleppard · Today 18:01

@Arlanymor definitely 😁

noblegiraffe · Today 18:07

Does anyone know if supermarket brand Krispies are now similarly shit? They're usually made in the same factories aren't they?

Lugol · Today 18:07

Political correctness gone mad!

This is most definitely a cost saving thing though, although they are hiding that under 'global warming'.
