What cracks me up is that in his 'defense' of trying to interfere in the AK election, he keeps insulting AK voters. I don't have the direct quotes but he keeps banging on about them not understanding what the word 'Incumbent' means next to the 'correct' (in his mind) Dan Sullivan. In essence, he's saying that they're either uneducated, or they're stupid. Or both.

Sometimes it looks as if the reason for more air crashes might be the same as the reason more bridges collapse these days: insufficient maintenance, and no proper oversight, as well as low staffing; I think both of those happened before the Fart sabotage of the system, didn't they?

Flightradar on twitter has overlaid the weather map with the flight path of that jet.
They flew straight into a storm cell, had outside temp of -47C and fully iced up.
Stood no chance.

Also generally agree with "wait and see" but yes, at this stage this doesn't look like something that can be blamed on Trump or the US ATC system.

ATM this looks like being down to a lack of weather avoidance (reasons why unknown) in an aircraft that, according to some who are familiar with the type, can be a handful/unforgiving in significant icing conditions and turbulance.may have been a factor..

FWIW the -47C in itself isn't the problem, it's the combination of that temp plus relatively high humidity that you can get at the top of a CB that can cause issues.

Whether there was a weakness or gap in crew training/certification,.well we actually will have to wait and see.

American Samoa has a non-voting delegate in the U.S. House of Representatives, but nothing in the Senate. They can speak on the floor and engage in debate. They can vote in committee, but cannot vote on the floor.

But on the other hand, 'bona fide' residents of AS don't pay federal taxes.

So I guess for them it's NO TAXATION BUT A LITTLE REPRESENTATION.
