I was challenged on the Iran war thread for posting a Metro article about him going on about his cognitive tests, and how he aced them. The context was " this is a guy who boasts about being able to spot a photo of a giraffe". A poster said it was fake news. Went on to explain how the tests are actually quite difficult once past the giraffe bit.
And fair enough, the Metro is clearly biased against Trump, But the article was not fake news. It was just adding different "weight" to what it was reporting. It is all factually true. Metro just does the same as almost all the Pro Trump media do.
It is part of his stump speech, to do the " Camera, lion, giraffe" bit, then maybe mention about the maths and clock, but he is fixated on the photo bit.
My suspicion is that he can't easily remember or maybe describe. the "harder" parts.
The folk who know these things suspect it is the Montreal Cognitive test they use. But we do not know for sure.
In any case, the fact that he boasts about passing it at all is just ridiculous. And that he claims to have done it multiple times gets me thinking if he has to practice it.
Anecdotally, I think it is a bit like IQ tests. I remember a couple of years back, I saw a local social media article proclaiming, " Country X leads the word on IQ ratings". I knew nowt about IQ tests, but when I looked into it, it turns out that is not how IQ tests work, and that one can "practice" them. So a country that does regular testing will tend to be higher than a country that does not. And anyway, the tests are designed to average 100 for a given population, so it is pointless to use them for international comparison. I remember it as all pretty complex.
But here we are. POTUS goes on about passing a test designed to spot if something is not quite right.... repeatedly.
