Do you eat 3 meals a day?

I have NC’d for this as I don’t want it linked to my other posts.
I use to eat 3 meals a day. 3 full meals and all I did was put on weight. Now I eat 2 meals and a snack.
In work today and a colleague asked was I not starving.
today I had for brunch (my first meals is at 10ish) - 2 boiled eggs, 2 rice cakes with chocolate spread and peanut butter. And a coffee.
for a snack at 1ish I had a cup of tea and a banana
dinner at 5:45 was a chicken salad with, lettuce, cucumber, olives, onion, tomato’s dressing and Parmesan cheese. Then I had a cup of tea and 4squares of chocolate.

Comment was made by my colleague at lunch time. I’m never really hungry for lunch tbh. I would have a few snacks but today I just wanted the banana. My calorie intake for today was lower than usual at 1390cals. Usually I aim for 1500.

so what do you do? Do you eat three full meals? I find a lot of people have no breakfast at all.

Normally three meals a day. Yesterday I had:

Breakfast: a small bowl of porridge with chopped apple (made with water not milk), a mug of milky decaf
Lunch: home made tsatziki with two warm pittas, a tangerine, a mug of decaf
Supper: 3 x butcher sausages, mashed potato, leeks & peas, wholegrain mustard, a chocolate cookie and two plums

I run 2 x 5k a week, practice karate, and do a lot of gardening/walking. My bmi is steady at about 23.5

I eat a banana at 7am then brunch around 11.30am and then dinner/tea between 5.30-6pm. After that rarely anything unless it’s Bake Off night or Masterchef - can’t survive watching them without something to eat.

Breakfast, lots of snacks and evening meal. BMI is around 22 so fairly normal and I walk a lot, I’m retired

Two meals a day and light snack. Trying to lose so max 1500/day. I eat as close to noon as possible, then dinner around 7pm. I may have a protein snack in between. I almost always have a fun size chocolate near to 100 calories.

One meal a day here.

I work first thing in the morning then get up and go for a run (so I'm not hungry before - I never eat breakfast anyway because I can't eat in the morning). Not hungry when I get back from the run around lunchtime, and I don't even start to feel hungry until mid-afternoon. So I eat a reasonable dinner quite early, around 4.30-5, and that's fine for me.

I don't eat three meals. I don't bother with breakfast, then I have lunch some time between 12pm and 2pm and then dinner some time after 7pm. Sometimes I have a snack mid/late afternoon, and/or after dinner, and I drink tea most of the day.

It doesn't really matter how many meals you eat; it's really what those meals consist of that makes the difference. All the stuff about breakfast being the most important meal of the day has zero scientific evidence behind it; overall it's just calorie intake that affects weight, not the times you're eating.

I never really feel like eating first thing in the morning, and I also like to cook a properly substantial meal in the evening, which is when I feel like eating a lot, so not having breakfast works for me because it means I've got more calories left for a proper dinner.

I'm currently trying (successfully, so far) to lose weight but I didn't really bother with breakfast much before either.

I have two meals a day mostly, branflakes for lunch, if at home, then a main meal around 6pm, if I feel particularly hungry I might have a banana in between or a yogurt,
After evening meal I slice of Toblerone the big bar, trying to give this up, but no luck as yet.

I struggle to get enough time to eat. I’m not the best eater from a sensory perspective so I like to sit properly and eat, preferably with a bit of peace and quiet. If I can’t quite manage that I tend to not eat instead. I can’t just eat whilst moving or just take a few minutes and cram it in.

I tend to associate eating with relaxing and so I like to do it at the end of the day after all the jobs are done and I can sit down and chill. i generally manage to eat twice a day but often only once. But a big meal. It does get me in trouble sometimes with my energy levels especially being active. my usual time to eat is about 7.30-8, if I manage to add an extra meal it’s usually at about 4.30pm. I’m working on it

Usually 2 meals a day. I can’t be bothered with breakfast but have a decent lunch and a snacky supper. Similar to yours but flipped round.
