Yeah it's bound to be Williams. Surely he can change it back now he's not an actor anymore? He's massively litigious. He silenced women and other victims for years with threatening lawyers.

There must be so much to be said about him that's negative. Surely he should try and do it against all broadcasters and media as it can't just be those two that have had negative dealing with him. Or published unflattering stories about him? But either way I hope he loses and wastes loads of money. He's absolutely revolting.

Yes, definitely Walliams as it's been publicly stated in court that he has suicidal thoughts.

My dad used to threaten suicide every time he thought my mum might leave thus ending his abuse of her. She always gave in and the cycle continued.

Sorry you went through this. I had the same. My mum. She’s still going strong at 86.

Why assume it’s a man, it may well be a lady.

It’s nearly always a sex scandal. How many sex scandals are about famous women?

Totally OT but this week DW just happened to be sitting full square in the window of a London cafe looking sad and being comforted by a friend. At the same time a passing paparazzi just happened to spot him and take some shots which then just happened to end up on DM online.

Exactly. The public and more importantly the court, are being played.

OttersOnAPlane · 17/10/2026 10:45

It couldn't happen to a more deserving arsehole. I would love to see him held to account publicly in the courts.

wherearemypeople · 17/10/2026 10:23

and? If he is such a severe suicide risk he needs to be sectioned and put on 24 hour watch. Or take his chances with our rubbish mental health services like all the other poor mentally ill people have to.

Agree. I bet his victims are getting precious little mental health support.

PussyGaylore · 17/10/2026 07:47

Really? I have heard a few rumours over the years . . .

Yeah next year he’ll be a millionaire but not have any actual accusations? I have his name mentioned a few times but nothing official/legal has happened that I have heard of.

"Don't hold me to account for my shitty actions - I'll kill myself if you do!"

Isn't that classic manipulator behavior?

Makes me think he really did do whatever it is he's being accused of.

When an adult individual commits suicide, no one else is responsible but the individual who made that decision. Withholding information that is in the public interest because the individual concerned might harm himself would be a terrible precedent to set.

Edited

I agree with this but this isn't always the case. :'When an adult individual commits suicide, no one else is responsible but the individual who made that decision.'

Male abusers have been found to have pressured women to commit suicide, which is partly why many feminists oppose making euthanasia legal.

A different situation, but the coroner in Ruth Perry's suicide also found Ofsted partly responsible.

Exclusive: Research suggests official statistics could track as few as 6.5% of the true number of cases in England and Wales

People's mental health should also not be a reason for avoiding discussions of things that are in the public interest. Tempting though it might be to "be kind" about this, especially following so close on the heels of the Jason Arday case, it would be a terrible precedent to set.Unscrupulous men (and some women) would take advantage, hiding their actions from public scrutiny and themselves from accountability.

With Arday I did think the amount of coverage was too much, although his lies certainly should have been covered. This feels different as if Walliams has sexually assaulted people, that's a lot worse than anything Arday did (his plagiarism did have serious effects, but not on that level)

He was my first thought. So many allegations over so many years, I’ll be shocked if it isn’t him.

See, I keep hearing about these allegations but have never heard anything specific. I really hope it isn't him - my upbringing would be wiped out!

My money is on Walliams.

Farageisafraud · 17/10/2026 11:23

Arday was actually cleared of plagiarism by Liverpool John Moore's university which makes his treatment and media hounding even worse.

Best not to speculate on this particular case here until actual facts emerge and legal process takes place rather than usual trial by (social) media.

Eesha · 17/10/2026 08:10

So they are saying he’s unwell now due to this? He hasn’t been pictured in ages. What actually were the allegations?

The person everyone thinks it is was in the paper just this week in one of those sitting outside a coffee shop photo that all celebs seem to do in London

Can you give a clue to who you're referring to

Same. I also think that these kinds of posts are irresponsible as it's no doubt just going to lead to a load of speculation and completely innocent people's names being brought up.

Which is why people accused seek an injunction. Because of gossip, speculation and fingerpointing. Cries of ‘Witch’ springs to mind.
All too often accused is interpreted as guilty.
Not innocent until proved guilty.
Accused is accused. Nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes they will be guilty, sometimes not.
Especially if they have children the accused will want to protect them from the media and gossip.

FateAmenableToChange · 17/10/2026 11:41

Fascinating how after years of harming others we are supposed to be moved by the threat that he’ll harm himself.

FateAmenableToChange · 17/10/2026 11:42

Smoke and fire comes to mind…

I asked AI when CPR was invented, because I watched something about CPR not being a thing in the 1950s. CoPilot told me that it was 1996, which caused me to raise an eyebrow because I took a CPR class in 1991.

I also recently asked it something about the current prime minister and it debated with me, at length, telling me that the current PM is not Andy Burnham. I sent it links to news articles and it claimed every one, even from the BBC, was “fake news”.

It’s a useful tool, but you cannot trust it.

I also asked it if AI was going to take all our jobs, and in its response it told me that my greatest current threat was the meal I’d made the day before…(I’d asked it for help with a recipe).

Gymnopedie · 17/10/2026 11:43

Except that what came out was that the 'clearance' was as dodgy as his PhD.

And I don't think people should be named until they've been proven guilty.

I know a lot of people don't agree with me, but even if someone is acquitted there's all the "there's no smoke without fire" rumours and their reputation never recovers.

AI told me that my son’s father had murdered our son in a flat in Brighton in 2018. Absolutely none of it true and they have an unusual surname so even odder and makes me very wary of anything AI.

I think we should avoid trial by media, innocent until the court decides otherwise. Thereafter deserving of punishment. People have been named in the past and found innocent - Cliff Richard as one example.

Cliff Richard was used I think by the police force investigating as an attempt to distract from their failing elsewhere.

I agree that there should be specific instances where the accused can be named and those not. I also think some defamation should be criminal and not depend on someone using the threat of libel.
