You believe the moon landing was fake?
Sorry I can't read any more because you sound like a conspiracy theorist

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

BeethovenNinth · 14/10/2026 07:37

  • many conspiracy theories have a grain of truth about them!!
  • weight loss jabs are not a good idea for anyone except the seriously overweight
  • people who don’t like dogs are not to be trusted (sorry)
  • Botox crosses the brain blood barrier and we don’t fully know what that means yet
  • you can’t actually change your gender, biologically speaking

Agree with you on everything but 2.
I've Crohns/UC and I've found the lowest dose of Wegovey incredibly helpful.

RoarLionRoar · 14/10/2026 08:22

If youre an attractive woman some other women will be absolute horrors to you for no other reason than the fact youre better looking.

Wow-I thought the only people who believed moon landings were fake were a few loony tunes but obviously not! Or there are more loony tunes than I thought. And that’s a hill I will die on.

Calling them loony tunes just makes you sound so stupid.
And they were absolutely faked.

Barrel-leg jeans are plug ugly.

Maybe. But I absolutely love them.

PussyGaylore · 14/10/2026 08:06

It’s not a hill I would die on but if you do the proper research ( dig beyond the obvious) there is circumstantial evidence the first landing may have been faked but I’m not sure one way or the other or that bothered.
I would definitely die in the hill of ‘you can’t change sex’ though.

There is no evidence that anything was faked.

Chicken pox vaccinations should be a part of the UK vaccination schedule for children.

I have RA, no tattoos and one of the highest readings ever seen (879) at its worst.

My DD doesn't have RA but has tattoos.

I've been told to keep away from tomatoes and potatoes but never the ink!

I repeat: the plural of anecdote is not data.

Hard disagree. I actually think misplaced 'empathy' is the cancer eating away at the west. Please consider reading / looking into "Suicidal empathy: dying to be kind " by Gad Saad to understand what I mean.

Extra hard disagree. People are genuinely pleased that other people die, just because they are differently coloured, and they disagree that those people are in danger. It’s fucking hideous.

Right, so you were lucky enough to have a compliant child.
Not everyone is, and consequences are necessary and, when smaller, limited force (brushing their teeth for them if they won't).
You were just lucky your "gentle" methods worked.
"Encouraging" to find other ways to express anger is just as much use as a chocolate fireguard with a lot of children.

No, I would absolutely not describe her as compliant. There have been many times when I have had to brush her teeth when she won’t and many times when she has hit and struggled to calm down, so staying calm and understanding during those times is challenging. We absolutely have boundaries and give consequences, they just have to make sense - if she is hitting while we are somewhere then we have to go home for example (it’s hard to think of examples on the spot), we just don’t punish or give consequences that make no sense to the situation. All of this along with the encouragement for other ways to express anger have not been these quick fixes that have worked instantly, that’s the point, it is a long road and we are still on that road but it is getting better. We just treat her with kindness and understanding with it all. She’s getting better at regulating her emotions but long way to go still. Like I say, long game.

Wordsmithery · 14/10/2026 08:34

The words 'I love you' are overused and have become meaningless.
The single most important thing we can do for our kids is show them we love them.

Cheese and onion, obvs.

Do you think other parents punish or give consequences which make no sense?

You see them on social media, there’s one from Liverpool gives her child what he wants to eat because he has special needs! He’s massive and only about 6! When people call her out she says I’m not going to deny him food and he eats what he wants!

Edited

This breaks my heart. His needs will be potentially even greater as an obese kid/adult.

Ljcrow · 14/10/2026 07:49

No, but something that's mean tested and not so open to abuse. The people I know who claim PIP absolutely would not be homeless or starve without it. One works full time and earns more than me (and I'm not at imminent risk of homelessness or starvation) and the young people I know literally tell me their PIP's come in so they're off to get a new tattoo, which they then do. It's not fit for purpose and it's huge waste of money.

Pip is for extra costs a disability brings so it isn't means tested

I have been taking filgotinib for my RA. It's a new drug used for chronns too. Ask your consultant. X

Autumnbootcamp · 14/10/2026 08:54

A higher intake of grains is linked to a higher chance of chronic disease.

I wouldn't say this irl as I'd sound mad, but I think in a few decades it will be proven.

Even Bruce Willis says that Die Hard is not a Xmas movie!

Its an action movie that happened to be set at Xmas, not the same thing at all.

Bruce is wrong.
Why film it with Christmas as a theme?
If they’d done that, it wouldn’t be the same film.

It is somewhat of a Christmas film.

Disagree, I’m conventionally pretty & find people tend to be nice to me including women.

Thatcannotberight · 14/10/2026 09:02

If you are taking care of your own kids you are not babysitting. Looking at you Matt Willis. Who is apparently "baby sitting" when Emma does Strictly.

and you are not your dog's fkn mummy!

Cadeaukatze · 14/10/2026 09:04

I've thought of another one: pet ownership is wrong and exploitative (and bad for wildlife). And I disagree that you're a better person if you get a rescue. You aren't getting it for its sake, you are getting it for your own*.

And people who think people who don't like pets are horrible people lack critical thinking skills.

*disclaimer - if you take on someone's pet when they are very ill or die, that's for the animal's sake. And probably for the person's sake too so they know the animal is well cared for. But otherwise not.
