Men are better drivers on average.

parents should not be penalised for taking children on holiday when it suits them, as long as attendance is good otherwise,

Car insurance information is that women have far less accidents than men.

You're both confusing gentle parenting with permissive parenting. Have you actually read what both approaches are or do you see a shitty permissive parent who's a doormat to their child and think "yep, gentle parenting".

Gentle parenting is actually the least lazy approach as you need to constantly control your own emotions and anger while trying to react in a way that will bring the best results in terms of improving the child's future behaviour without traumatising them. Yelling at your kids is the easiest thing to do

Suggesting that people who don't "gentle parent" just yell at their kids is quite an assumption.

Severe/ profound autism exists and should be a separate diagnosis.

Coffee and walnut cake is delicous.

You cannot change sex

Die hard is a Christmas film

Absolutely agree about coffee and walnut cake.

PyongyangKipperbang · 14/10/2026 01:31

Even Bruce Willis says that Die Hard is not a Xmas movie!

Its an action movie that happened to be set at Xmas, not the same thing at all.

Oh I like this one. And also people who don’t put them back in weight order ! There should be penalties. Also agree on the crisps particularly on sandwiches

I am confused about the weights at the gym thing. Do you mean re-wrack?

Scotland and Wales as holiday destinations are vastly underrated by English people. I'm in England.

I agree!

Barrel-leg jeans are plug ugly.

JulietteRoche · 14/10/2026 02:52

Men age better than women, on average. Mem can often still look good well into their sixties and seventies, although a lot don't. Women very rarely do. I am a woman btw.

Mine is that the obsession with trans people on here is no different than other forms of radicalisation - and just as dangerous.

ETA: Also anyone who describes themselves as a 'trans widow' and compares their husband's transition to someone losing their husband is disgusting and should be shunned by all.

Edited

It is incredibly traumatic for some women when their marriages break down as their partners transition...

They have effectively lost their husbands as well. They're just still living in a completely different gender.

Dogs should be kept on leads in open public spaces whenever possible.

Yes!

FckThisShit · 14/10/2026 03:27

Hecksonaplane · 13/10/2026 23:12

Not sure why dogs shouldn’t be somewhere that serves food, it’s manky people coughing and sneezing without covering their mouth or using their hand to do so then touching the cutlery, wipe their face/noses then communal doors and handles, people going to the loo and not washing their hands - maybe there’s a hill here I’d die on!!

Balloons and fireworks should be banned.

phones playing videos and music in public places without headphones should be banned or taken off you and chucked out the nearest window if on a train 😁

stopping at the top of stairs and escalators should be punishable by always having to walk behind a toddler for the rest of the day

spitting in public punishable by having to wear a mask for a designated length of time but a shitty mask that shows you’re a tosser

oh and not picking up dog poo punishable by having a bag of dog shit tied to your wrist for a full week regardless you’re at work, bathing or eating bet you wouldn’t see it in the streets again

Hard agree with all of that.

Worldinyourhands · 13/10/2026 17:31

Most of the dogs in rescues should be put to sleep. Lots of them aren't suitable to live in most homes, and the ones that are are gatekeeped by the rescues to the point that it's almost impossible to rescue them anyway.

It's fine to buy a puppy as long as you research your breeder and make sure it's not a puppy mill, and yes there are good, ethical breeders.

Sadly, this is true. You have to prove yourself more than a foster carer. And you will still be knocked back due to ( insert xyz reason). Rescues are a joke and the RSPCA kill more animals than they help.
Agree that many breeders are unethical, but there is a huge market for , for example all the oodles. They will not be accepted by Kennel Assoc so people backyard breed and then registered breeders bitch when their inbred GSD is not a popular choice.Google 2016 crufts winner to see what "official breeders" do. That poor shepherd couldn't walk properly.

Definitely this! Why wouldn’t it be possible.

Car insurance information is that women have far less accidents than men.

They also drive far less kms. Percentage of female couriers and truckies would be tiny. That's besides all the couples where "dad" drives. Not everyone but a lot.
Also the under 25yo males who very sadly make up a hell of a lot of those accidents,
There are very few professional female race car drivers for a reason. They just aren't as good.

Right buckle up tin foil hats at the ready etc.
Wallsingham went to Cambridge as a lad and used his connections to recruit young men from there for his spy network. One of whom was Marlowe. Marlowe did some work for walsingham and this was going to interfere with his graduating cambridge so walsingham spoke up for him to ensure he could graduate. Then Marlowe wrote some plays loved some men lived his life. But then he gets in some trouble tudors are against the man on man action and marlowe wasnt exactly subtle so just before he gets arrested he is found dead upstairs in some womans house. Stabbed in the eye and forensic science not being what it is these days, everyone accepts that yup thats Chris oh well can't go arresting him now.
A theory that i believe is that walsingham gave him the nod that he was going to get arrested and not wanting him to give up any of his spy information under torture helped Marlowe to fake his death and sweep it all under the rug.
But Marlowe loved writing and wanted to carry on. In comes Shakespeare someone Marlowe was known to work with and they happen to look weirdly similar (seriously look it up) and says ill publish your plays and you can pretend you're me sometimes when its people we don't know or its a bit dark.
Tadah!

Love this!!! 😂

ChaToilLeam · 14/10/2026 04:25

There are two sexes, and no matter how you present yourself, that does not and cannot change.

Non-binary is a load of self-indulgent twaddle.

PE needs to be properly taught in schools and not in a way that puts kids, especially girls, off exercise for life instead of encouraging them to enjoy movement.

Reality shows are a load of rubbish.

Private dentistry should be abolished. Rotten, neglected teeth cause other health problems which costs the NHS.

People who whinge about benefits should come and see my son, who has an abcess on his brain and is likely to need support for years. He loved his job and worked hard to get his qualifications. Come and tell him he's a scrounger.

People who think the moon landings were faked are so stupid that they should be banned from interacting with others.

I don't think people that are moaning about benefits target people like your son. I am really sorry to hear, it's awful. Mostly they are talking about people who declare anxiety/depression or high functioning autism/adhd. Those are the pip/dla allowances that are rising sharply.

WhatDoRacoonsSay · 13/10/2026 14:29

Two sexes, zero genders, infinite personalities.

Amen to that.

CurlewKate · 14/10/2026 05:27

Anyone who is prepared to believe that The Global Elite or the Illuminati or whoever are capable of the level of secrecy and silencing necessary to fake the moon landings and keep them faked for over 50 years is somebody who shouldn’t be allowed to be in charge of a teaspoon.

Mine are:

Women all over the world having access to safe abortions if they want them.

In the UK - we don't pay enough tax, at every income bracket, if we want high quality state services e.g. education, NHS, water, social care......

Affordable childcare

Long term positions /strategies should be taken on education and health rather than political parties changing them every parliament

Donations to all political parties should be capped at a low amount

Brexit was the worst thing to do for this country and has made life harder for the vast majority of us

No hill I’m prepared to die on. But plenty of hills I’m prepared to kill on 😂

And valleys, and flat lands too.

Adelle5923 · 14/10/2026 06:51

NormasArse · 14/10/2026 02:24

I agree!

I’d say the UK as a whole rather than just wales and Scotland. England has some beautiful places too - look at Cornwall and Devon in the summer and you could think you’re in the Caribbean! I’ve not been to NI but imagine that’s got beautiful places to visit too. Cities like Bath are also great fun, vibrant, lots to do.

Adopt a greyhound. So many in rescues and they are gorgeous dogs. Yes, they take time to adjust to being a pet after a working life, but they are gentle snoozers mostly.
