Those who think sex is underated aren't doing it with the right person.

You’re correct

  1. The death penalty is never right. People will say that I'd change my mind if someone killed one of my children. Yes, I probably would which is why the decision is made by government, not by individuals.

  2. People who believe the moon landings were faked are so misguided that I wouldn't trust their opinion on anything else.

  3. Salt & Vinegar is the best crips flavour.

I strongly agree with all of these especially the third one.

Ohhh - how?

Basically, when you get a tattoo, you're putting chemicals and tiny particles into your body that aren't meant to be there. Some of that ink also gets into your lymph nodes. Your body tries to get rid of them but can't so it ends up constantly reacting to something it can't remove. That causes inflammation and extra pressure on your immune system for the rest of your life. Likely contributes to cancer too.

We've had this exact thread before, and it just ends up with lots of really offensive opinions.

I'll pass.

Autism should be categorised differently.

The the difference between those who have kids, hold down a good job, run a house, have a partner and no one would know they had asd compared to those that won’t be independent is so vast that it seems utterly meaningless to use the same name. It’s not always due to LD either. Like saying apples pears are the same and they’re clearly absolutely not.

As a asd parent completely agree to four who have ASD 2 who will both be completely independent and 2 who won't 👏. completely agree . I also don't think every person who has ASD needs a DX it lengthens waiting lists and serves no purpose .

Interested to know what the incident was! To mitigate the risk myself should I ever feel inclined to provide alcohol at a kids party (unlikely).

Edited

I went to one recently with DD3 and they were serving wine, beer and champagne with all of the parents getting very merry; in particular one mum tbh. She and a few others were mixing the alcohol with the kids juice and once pretty tipsy were just leaving the cups down on tables at random. Cue DD picking up a cup and going to drink from it before I quickly swooped in like a vulture to check (a. Because it wasn't her drink and b. In case there was alcohol in it - which there was!).

If I hear any future parties will be serving alcohol we most definitely won't be going. Not sure if any other kids got to any as we left after that, but it wouldnt surprise me. The whole vibe also just felt really wrong - like it was just an excuse for the parents to make it about them mingling with little focus on the birthday boy

I’m asking as SIL and her son both have autoimmune disease and are plastered in tattoos. So many it’s weird to look at. They both look ridiculous.

The other people I know with it also have a lot of tattoos.

Governments should prioritise their own citizens first regarding housing, jobs, doctors etc….. We shouldn’t have our own people living on the streets in 2026

That people who make glib statements like this have no real understanding of the issue of homelessness.

maddiemookins16mum · 13/10/2026 15:11

Too many youngsters are going to University simply because it's the "norm" now. A lot aren't bright enough and would be better at the local college.

Elmo230885 · 13/10/2026 15:11

Dogs shouldn't be allowed in places that serve food or drinks
Tablets and phones aren't a replacement for parenting
'Gentle parenting', not saying no to children or putting in boundaries has lead to a generation of unadjusted adults with unrealistic expectations of the world
Boundaries are a good thing
You can't change your sex
After school/weekend activities & clubs every (or almost every) day is too much for children
Children should be allowed to be bored
There should be different diagnosis (or term) for individuals with Autism diagnosed later in life (and have 'managed', however that looks) to those that have significant and profound symptoms that have affected every aspect of their life
If someone gets a cockerel in a residential area it should be removed and rehomed to a suitable farm (away from me... several counties away from me)

Interesting, thanks for sharing. It's the same in my family and extended family just so you know, the members covered in them have developed auto immune diseases.

No hill I’m prepared to die on. But plenty of hills I’m prepared to kill on 😂

We could be friends 😂

Lovemelovemycat · 13/10/2026 15:13

Smoking should be allowed in pubs
No food or kids allowed in pubs. If you want food with your kid go to the cafe
Gentle parenting is destroying future generations
A smack never did us any harm
Not all (very little) behaviour is down to some label. It’s down to lack of discipline and boundaries.
We don’t all like your dog. Eff off with it.

Anyone who would vote reform is lacking intelligence.

People should be required to pass basic intelligence tests before they are eligible ro
vote.

You believe the moon landing was fake?
Sorry I can't read any more because you sound like a conspiracy theorist

Seems a few idiots on here believe that.

Conspiracy theorists - here's a handy tip. If the conspiracy you believe in needed more than 1-2 people to maintain it (here's a clue - the moon landings would have needed THOUSANDS of people to conspire and do so for decades..) - then chances are its YOU that is the "sheep" and a half-wit. FFS

Revenge of the Sith completely ruined the most poignant scene in Return of the Jedi and I am still not ok about it (nor have I rewatched).
