I have not mentioned refunds. The comment that I agree with is just below mine by SomethingFun. It's a very sad story. Again, sympathy to the family.

So what do you suggest we do then? Release all captive raised tigers into the wild in India, Sumatra, Siberia, China etc ? Tigers who have no idea how to survive in the wild? In some cases their habitat is greatly reduced so there may not be anywhere suitable, in others they'd be at massive risk of being killed by poachers.

Obviously not. But more suitable rescue organisations exist in Asia. There is a tiger rescue with 1.4 million acres in Malaysia. Better than a few acres in Doncaster, wouldn’t you agree?
And if all the people so keen to “help” these tigers, by viewing them, in Doncaster, spent the money protecting those habitats and wildlife organisations instead, it would be far better for the animals. Obviously.

I don’t think anyone’s expecting a giant soft play.

They’re expecting their child to be adequately safeguarded from predatory animals.

Either by the people caring for them (including us, when we’re with them), their other caregivers of any kind, or the places they visit.

Hardly a big ask.

Lucyintheskywithnoidea · 10/10/2026 21:18

He looks like he’s using the makaton sign for bad rather than pointing.

Please check every single post of mine on this thread forensically. I have not mentioned refunds. I am quite incensed about this accusation.

Yet you are happy to call this poor lad a moron. 🤷‍♀️

Honestly this really has to make us rethink how we are going to keep these adults safe in future. I feel like time is running out on this issue, because nobody will acknowledge what is a very blatant rise in severely autistic or developmentally delayed children. SEN and social care aren’t coping now and in 20 years things will be much much worse.

I’m amazed your account hasn’t been suspended. This is appalling, and I’m not a soft ‘be kind’ type.

If someone with an IQ as high as Einstein did this then clearly they should know better and are a complete idiot. But the point people are making is that this man may well have had learning disabilities and low enough IQ that he didn't understand the danger and wasn't able to "know better". If that's the case it's unacceptable and offensive to call him a moron.

well if they have "an IQ as high as Einstein did"

how can they be complete idiot? make it make sense

what evidence are you using to diagnose the dead guy as having learning disabilities?

the point people are making is irrelevant speculation

the sad fact that someone has chosen to end their life in a brutal manner - in front of many onlookers, some of who will be children, that's going to mess them up

He’s using makaton is my first thought. My second is there is a massive unawareness to the danger he is in. My third is that’s a human life. Your comment is pretty vile.

How the hell did he climb over high voltage fencing? Did no one think the pull him off the barriers at any point? Did everyone stand around watching, not acting?

Probably, knowing how folk are nowadays

Well sure if the pedant in you is determined to use dictionary definitions then ‘technically’ you’re right. His IQ is (potentially) on the low side.
but you know as well as the next person that this word is used as a slur in everyday life and is regarded as deeply offensive.

I said you and the other unpleasant poster who mentioned refunds, I was referring to the other person who is standing out on this thread for making crass observations. She was the one talking about refunds, you were calling the poor person who has died a moron if I recall. Both of you stand out for all the wrong reasons as I said earlier.

Just wow! 😮

Perhaps re-read the last part again and question why someone would jump in with a tiger - what possible reason would they do this for you not to have sympathy for them?

They absolutely would have suffered and were screaming in pain (of which was also traumatic for onlookers) because they were getting bitten and scratched by a huge tiger…..

What the hell is up with this? How about instead of making nasty comments you need to ‘retract’ later, you just don’t post? How about that? I always wonder what kind of person is behind posts like this.

ExtraHotDoubleShot · 10/10/2026 21:40

Calling a person with learning disabilities who has just been killed by a tiger a ‘moron’ is vile. Trying to justify it because of his LD is even more vile. Look in the mirror. What you will see is ugly.

If he was choosing to end his life, then why would he be telling the tiger to stop it??
