Thinking of all the victims of the 07 October attacks (and their families and friends).

And the Jewish community everywhere.

It is unbelievable what the Jewish community suffered that day.

And what they have to suffer through now, every day, with the hatred, marches and offensive posts on here.

Great thread. You've been missed x

A kick in the teeth for all monsters today. Lots of fight back and plenty of shouting down the hate. Images of murdered Jews broadcast around the hate marches. It didn't really go as planned.

Love and light to the Jewish community ❤️

Love and light indeed 🕯️
Hate will not win.

WhenIsaywhoaimeanwhoa · 07/10/2026 20:42

yes they have suffered immensely and betrayed by their own government

Remembering all the kids in the kibbutzim who were lighting their Friday night candles with their parents the night before, and saw them killed in the morning. Remembering the Bibas babies and their terrified mother, Remembering all the kids slaughtered at Nova and those dragged into Gaza and raped. They could have been any of ours. May their memory be a blessing.

But creating this thread and posting it in AIBU , that’s offensive, right?

What a joke.

🌹 I know

Why are you so desperate to exonerate the torturers, murderers and kidnappers?

WhenIsaywhoaimeanwhoa · 07/10/2026 20:46

How rude

I just learned of the bravery of Sabitha Baby and Meera Mohanan, Indian care workers who held an emergency shelter door closed for 5 hours, saving the lives of the very elderly couple they were caring for.

A pair of angels on that day when demons roamed.

It's always amazing so see bravery and humanitarian actions amid hate and destruction.
What brave women.

Amer Abu Sabila, a 25 year old, ran towards danger that day, and died saving the lives of two little girls.

I was just saying on another thread, it was refreshing seeing so many reels today in support of 🇮🇱 and condemnation for the marching loons. Australia have really been on it.

It certainly hasn't been overlooked.

It may have been overshadowed since, by the events following. That's on the Israeli government.

But in no way has it been overlooked.

Couldn't agree more

GunnelVallquist · 07/10/2026 20:54

Interesting (for lack of a better word) which posts have been deleted and which ones are allowed to stand.

I didn't actually read the thread at the time, but I can hazard a guess that on the 9/11 memorial thread (funnily enough which was allowed to remain on AIBU), that there were no posters that came onto it and shilled for the terrorists of that atrocious attack and/or condemed the united States for their reaction to it (which killed innocent civilians in the course of getting rid of the terrorists)?

I'm guessing no posters came onto that thread and tried to say that Bush knew about the attacks and "let it happen" and implied that the victims of 9/11 were not as comparable to those harbouring terrorists?

I'm thinking not... And it proves that a memorial thread for one of the most barbaric attacks on innocent men, women, children and BABIES is not worthy of respect for some posters, simply as the innocent victims were Jewish. Horrifying. What those evil Hamas bastards did was as depraved as what Vlad the impaler did in the 1400s.

Humanity never learns, I really despair.

Sending love and prayers to all Jewish people and the victims of this attack and those left behind, still suffering, please know that these idiots do not speak for me. Sending love. ❤️

interestingly (quite apt a word) telling someone to fuck off is a personal attack.

Great post.

I agree with every word.

And the more I think about mumsnet moving this thread to chat the more uncomfortable I feel about it.

Coming onto a memorial thread for victims of a terrorist attack in order to goad is truly low behaviour.
Despicable.
