Why is Nigella Lawson so beautiful?

I've got such a girl crush on her, and I always have had. She's a bit mad and posh (in the best way). I love her writing and her recipes, and have been brining my Christmas turkey since she first suggested it - it is always delicious. Didn't like her dad much but presumably she did. To me that woman can do no wrong - she's the best thing to have happened to GBBO in a while. I love that she and AH get to hang out. But she is EXTRAORDINARILY beautiful. She makes my world a better place.

I once saw her in an even possibly 20 years ago. She was far better looking in the flesh than on TV, and I thought she was beautiful on TV! Absolutely stunning. But I don’t think she sounds cocky at all? She comes across as a little insecure to me, if anything.

Met her at a book signing- she took no interest whatsoever in anyone who came to meet her and just kept her head down and signed our books. Didn’t even say hi/pose for a pic. She is nothing like she is on screen so she is gonna be nobody’s bestie but her own!

I love her older TV shows, and her cookbooks are fab. She was v lovely looking but why oh why has she plasticized her face? Of all people I would have thought Nigella would age naturally and beautifully. I miss her.

You're trying to drag a woman down with insults like 'cocksure' and 'thinking she's God's gift' because she's more confident and self-assured than you think is seemly.

We need all the 'cocksure' and uber-confident women we can get, frankly. Wanting to rub out a bit of a woman's confidence in herself because it apparently makes you feel uncomfortable in some way, is something I cannot understand at all.

My hairdresser used to say I looked like her, probably because my hair was long and dark.

I wondered if she was suffering with something. I LOVE her. poking shows and so wish she'd do another xmas special. haven't watched GBBO with her on it. I'm scared to after reading this thread! I have images of her stuffing handfuls of cake in in soft focus while she slurs her speech 😵‍💫

Just looked at some photos of her when she was younger and she looked very like Anne Hathaway. Think it’s the very large, brown eyes.

She is very attractive and it’s a combination of good genes, good hair (can’t underestimate what a difference strong, thick, healthy hair makes), money and treatments.

I think she looks very, very good for her age indeed, although I felt she looked quite fragile in the clips of Bake Off that I’ve seen. Wouldn’t particularly say she looked too thin, but there’s something fragile looking about her.

Also find the comment from a poster saying she’s “very short, about 5’1” odd, she’s definitely not. She’s definitely not, she’s 5’7, she’s tall.

I was out in London just before I got married and there was a group of us sitting outside. She ran across out path and the lot of us - gay, straight, man, woman - just couldn’t stop staring at her, jaws on the floor. Not because she was famous, but because of how she looked. I was a fan before and thought she was absolutely stunning. In the flesh… we were helpless. Traffic-stopping and I imagine she still is.

You're making such sweeping statements. I've never used phrases like seemly in my life. I've never once thought women should act a certain way because they're women or men should act a certain way because they're men. Nor does cockiness make me uncomfortable in women. It pisses me off in BOTH men and women.

I'm not dragging women down. I'm giving an opinion on a person who happens to be a woman. As I've explained, I'd feel the same way if this person was a man.

Does she? Her parents had Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, I thought that was very well known. She doesn't look Italian.

She’s beautiful but looks a bit different to how she did when she was younger (understandably). She really looks like her father after he lost weight. She’s clever too with an Oxford degree.
She seemed to be very happy with John Diamond.

I saw her once in a restaurant (maybe 10 years ago). Stunningly beautiful but much smaller than I had thought, she looked really slight compared to her appearance on camera.

I think she's wonderful, but did notice the change in her voice. I was wondering if she's got dentures as she's also very carful to not eat with her front teeth - sort of puts the fork in to the side a bit...
