Why is Nigella Lawson so beautiful?

I've got such a girl crush on her, and I always have had. She's a bit mad and posh (in the best way). I love her writing and her recipes, and have been brining my Christmas turkey since she first suggested it - it is always delicious. Didn't like her dad much but presumably she did. To me that woman can do no wrong - she's the best thing to have happened to GBBO in a while. I love that she and AH get to hang out. But she is EXTRAORDINARILY beautiful. She makes my world a better place.

How old is she then? That's interesting. I find her far too self regarding to be watchable anymore. In Bake Off she is so obviously performing to the cameras the whole time and in her own bubble of self regard. I don't find her likeable or relatable. I do think her recipes are good though.

No idea how old she is - she may have skipped a year? But she was definitely more than three years older than 11 year old me .. she was very flamboyant so you couldn’t miss her…

Just shows how we all differ. I think she's attractivr. Clearly had a lot of work . But I don't put her as beautiful.

I agree she eats very strangely on GBBO - she doesn't seem to ever bite with her front teeth, only her canines. I was wondering if either her front teeth are false/fragile in some way or if it is that - being posh - she has been trained to never put a large piece of food directly into her mouth to bite it for "modesty" reasons (similar to cutting a banana and eating the pieces rather than risk being seen with the whole thing partly in).

She’s stunning and I know she takes sun damage really seriously so her skin is fantastic

I agree she is very beautiful. Classically beautiful. But God, I hate the expression ‘girl crush.’ It makes me cringe from the inside out🤣 To me, it’s just a crush.

A ‘crush’ means romantic or lustful feelings though. A ‘girl crush’ just means admiration without any sexual attraction. Well, that’s how I’d interpret them anyway.

I think her bonkers-ness is why people like her. Thank god she didnt inherit her dad's looks 😆

It will be her 'professional age' or whatever its called. Like Amanda Holden who claims she's mid 50s but is really a few years older (I know someone she was friends with in her youth).

I was referencing someone up thread who was at school with NL and said she's actually a few years older. Presumably a school contemporary would know her age 🤷‍♀️

If you've had your teeth and lips done do they not work normally anymore ? I just assumed they would but maybe not.

Ive seen her in the flesh (but about 15 years ago) I was surprised at how short (5ft 1 perhaps?) and curvy (beautifully so) she was. Very attractive. I also liked how she told me who she was rather than assuming I knew, which I thought showed humility.

That's true she didn't. Also, her voice was completely different the last time I watched one of her cookery shows. I don't just mean the timbre which changes naturally as you age but the pronunciation. She used to sound very well spoken but with a soft edge. Now she sounds a little like she's had a drink (sorry nigella if you're reading this).

Off screen, Nigella only eats Beef and Tomato Pot NNoodles.
