Just wondering as I never have due to horror stories. Have you ever done one and did anything weird happen?

Just for fun stories and curiosity 😁

Other people can believe whatever they want, I'm not in control of that - and neither would I want to be.
My belief, for what it's worth, is that whatever makes itself known via a Ouija Board is probably a low-level demon.
The souls of our deceased loved ones are in one of three places ; either in Heaven with Our Lord, In Purgatory awaiting entrance to Heaven (where they will benefit from our prayers) or in Hell where no-one can help them.
They are not wandering the earth trying to make contact with humans.

Which kind of people go to hell?

Which kind of people go to hell?

Do you really want an answer to that or are you just trying to start an argument about people's religious beliefs?

You be better off asking that question on the 'Religion' board IMO.

My older sister was a student at the royal college for the blind in Hereford in the 1980s. I don’t know if it’s the same now, but then, students used to live in the very old building that was supposedly haunted.

They used to do ouija boards all the time.

There was no cheating - they would get the students who were completely blind to put their fingers on the pointer so there was no way they could cheat - they couldn’t see the letters.

It predicted one of thier deaths a few years later. One of her fiends was told they would die in an accident when he was 22. He had a motorbike crash and died the day after his 22nd birthday.

It would say it was looking out of the eyes of the posters on thier walls and describe them.

Like I said, no way of cheating and moving the pointer, the people who did that had complete vision loss.

I would like to avoid it. I’ve done some low level bad things but would like to know if they’re bad enough.

That makes no sense. A college for the blind is going to contain many students with visual impairment but who have some vision, certainly enough to move a glass around on a table and manage the occasional intelligible word or two amid gibberish. By your own account some semi-sighted students were involved, arranging the ouija board etc. The potential for pranks is obvious. And it seems a bit of a stretch for a seriously visually impaired student or former student to be riding a motorbike, so I'm going to assume that this whole anecdote is nonsense.

Perhaps there are Braille Ouiija boards.

Then I would suggest you ask the question on the 'Religious' Board,

Or alternatively make an appointment to see your local Catholic Priest and ask his advice.

What like 'Hi Father X, I beat someone up and robbed a bank a few years back -- am I going to hell?'

If the person concerned asks a sensible question to a Priest they will get a sensible answer.

How come these people who don't believe in anything believe everything that Derren Brown comes out with?

Err, Derren Brown demonstrates how psychological techniques are used to fool susceptible people. He doesn’t claim to be channelling the dead.

He’s proven how easily people can be made to believe something that isn’t true. As evidenced a lot on this thread.

rolloverbeethoven · 07/10/2026 17:38

Darren Brown is a showman, albeit a very clever one. He is not the Messiah!

I was interested in your opinion. I went to catholic school for 14 years but it still alludes me.

Eyesopenwideawake · 07/10/2026 18:31

Bit of a fun fact for you – no one is consciously pushing the glass (if you're using that method), it's a ideomotor (IMR) response, which is a fancy way of saying that it's being moved by your subconscious mind. Our bodies can do lots of things without us being consciously aware, for example most drivers will get to a familiar destination and realise they've missed out chunks of awareness of the journey – that was because your mind takes over automatic tasks. So it can be with a ouija board.

My suggestion is the same.
If you went to a Catholic School for 14 years and haven't grasped what Hell is about, then I would suggest you make an appointment with your local Catholic Priest and tell him what's on your mind. He can advise and reassure you better than I can, concerning these "low-level bad things" you mention. It would also be in complete confidence.
