Food or drink you wish was available but isn't.

I'm not talking about discontinued stuff more items that just have never been invented/available.

For me it would be a non carbonated original Coca-cola.

I usually just leave the top off for a few days to get the desired flatness but sometimes I'd just love to pop into a shop a grab an ice cold flat coke.

Weird, I know but that's the one food/drink I'd really wish was readily available.

There was a trend on Tik Tok recently of foods people wish were available and one was a lemon meringue version of Tunnock's Tea Cakes - I'd love that too.

What would be on your wish list?

I want low fat mascarpone! I want to make authentic tiramisu (have a much loved recipe from an Italian friends grandmother which is delicious) but whilst I'm losing weight it's out of the question!

As a Tunnocks teacake is perfect I don't want to see any 'flavours' despite loving lemon meringue pie. Sorry.

Chalky sweets that are mint flavoured. You know like candy cigarettes or those swizzlers lollies or lovehearts?

But minty.

Both minty stuff and chalky stuff is a pregnancy craving for me and I wish there was something that satisfied. Rennies do the trick but obvs can't have more than a couple of those a day.

I craved chalky things during pregnancy too, turned out I was really anaemic but I still love Rennies decades later - weird!

Funny one. I'd like foods that don't require washing up afterwards

Twogingercats · 02/10/2026 17:27

Ginger flavoured fruit pastilles

CuppaWhiteTea · 02/10/2026 17:28

Topic Bars.

Edit - ooh sorry, I see you meant food or drink that's never existed. I wish there was a genuine alternative sweetner to sugar that wasn't bad for your teeth or your blood sugar, but didn't taste weird or have other harmful effects.

SquitMcJit · 02/10/2026 17:30

M&S lemon teacakes sound like a version of the lemon meringue Tunnocks people were envisaging?

Favouritefruits · 02/10/2026 17:32

Tesco nut roast c.2000

Pollqueen · 02/10/2026 17:33

Healthy, sugar free, zero calorie haribo sours. I have just discovered haribo through my DGC and fucking love them. So sad they're sugar laden 😢

BeProactiveAboutThis · 02/10/2026 17:34

Savoury muller corners , maybe a brie flavoured yogurt with crunchy bacon pieces , a sour cream one with marmitey breadstick pieces, and also one with a garlic and herb yogurt and mini pretzels

VanillaImpulse · 02/10/2026 17:37

Oreo biscuits without the cream filling

Ginger flavoured fruit pastilles

Oooo that sounds good - but I’d want them quite fiery!

Trebor mints are probably the closest but might not be quite chalky enough.

NerdyBird · 02/10/2026 17:42

Unsalted spreadable butter that doesn’t cost a small fortune. Rose flavoured chalky sweets like Parma Violets.

MilitantFaucet · 02/10/2026 17:43

Pacers, they used to be a thing but its been decades since they were, I still crave them

fiftyfiftyy · 02/10/2026 17:54

More marmite flavoured stuff

HappyViewer · 02/10/2026 17:55

Zero calories yummy chocolate.

Defiantlynot41 · 02/10/2026 18:48

Dark chocolate hard caramels
decent gluten-free breads & viennoiseries/pastries
in general, everything to be less aggressively sweet - especially drinks. I’d love a pumpkin spice latte or hot chocolate that wasn’t stupidly sweet

Twogingercats · 02/10/2026 20:08

I quite agree @Hollyisgrande . Perhaps a lemon and ginger kind too!

Pret does the best Pumpkin Spice Latte in my opinion, the only one I’ve found that isn’t sickly sweet. Swerve the Toasted Marshmallow Latte though, it’s pretty grim.

Agree. Love marmite ❤️

Aparecium · 02/10/2026 21:26

Gluten free bread that is actually like real bread.

Gluten free bread that contains only ingredients that you could plausibly have in your kitchen cupboard, rather than be an ultra-processed bag of complicated derivatives.
