Fairford latest: Counter terror police investigating if Iran is linked to RAF base bomb plot, Sky News understands | UK News | Sky News https://share.google/cU4wjxGZBYQtIb3sx

I couldn't find a thread on this breaking news. How awful for everyone involved.

It wasn’t working and was going nowhere, and a real waste of money.

This wasn’t even actually off shore processing - if a claim succeeded then the asylum seeker would have to remain in Rwanda under HP and not come to the U.K.

It was already moving people voluntarily to ROI which is the most cost effective way to do it.

As a process it’s also how Australia get close to zero arrivals by shore.

Well Becky from MNHQ did post a link to the LiW thread in site stuff so people could read what she'd posted in response to reports MNHQ has received about it. So it is natural people might read the rest of the thread.

Not sure how the defence of Danny Thomas on LiW or the defence/criticism of him elsewhere on MN earns him money. Are you suggesting MN has some sort of "Tommo" affiliate links? That seems doubtful to me.

Edited

From MN some people will then go to view information about him and likely click on his own content.

I didn’t read the thread alluded to but I hardly think Temperance is suggesting MN have affiliate links - it’s just obvious it can cause a chain through to getting Mr Daniel Thomas further cash from clicks and followers.

Yes I think you mean my post but awareness, clicks and overall internet interest is usually linked to making money from it.

I wouldn't know. Only see him talked about on here. Is that something you have in common, he makes up childish names as well? Ok.

It seems that the go to response to those who will not openly criticise Danny Tommo, also known as Daniel Thomas, is "I wouldn't know. Only see him talked about on here."

Especially with certain posters on Mumsnet. Here's a reminder.

True. All these anti-migrant "activists" are essentially grifters. But people support them, as we see on MN.

So the government of the day was so useless it couldn’t even achieve its own scheme what other countries did. What’s your excuse for the backlog they built up?

Where did I say I’m here to provide excuses for Tories’ mismanagement?

You asked in your pp what immigration systems could be put in place and I’ve listed some of the things EU countries were doing or planning to do.

How many did it deport to Rwanda in exchange for nearly £1 billion? One and they chose to go. You really couldn’t make this up.

Wow remanded in custody with a provisional court date of 1st March - that's a long time to be out of the public eye

They had barrels with them (see pic) and near a farm. More likely they were going to nick the red diesel.

But he will be kept in the public eye by posters constantly posting and linking about him on MN, maybe best to ignore completely

The more Danny Thomas is ridiculed the better IMHO. I'd give more respect to a bit of poo on my shoe. "Fanny" is a very mild insult for someone who is a vile, violent criminal. Why the upset on his behalf?

I think he is in court today.

Edited

Why would I be upset, I don't even know the man. I did think that we'd moved on from silly name calling though, I do remember on a previous thread that both left and right mumsnetters agreed it was childish nonsense and didn't add anything to a discussion.

Not sure about that - what will anyone on MN have to post or link to when he's kicking his heels in prison

Yes the interest is high for some on MN who are defending him and making a martyr of him. All the guff about two tier justice, for example. The rest of us are horrified by him and his blackshorts.

Yet they claim not to have known anything about him except for posts on MN.

As Jesus told Peter at the last supper he would deny knowing him three times before the cock crowed.

I'm sure he'll have been reading Exodus 22:21.

Well he will be out of it now for a while and hopefully without him.egging them on his supporters might stop abusing the RNLI and harassing innocent people in parks etc.

They had barrels with them (see pic) and near a farm. More likely they were going to nick the red diesel.

But Marco Rubio says there was a foreign actor involved.

So I'm now inventing a new conspiracy theory along the lines of - it would be bad form to kidnap Andy Burnham, it would be bad form to bomb the UK. So the CIA have hired some London wide boys to travel the country stealing red diesel, white diesel and heating oil (hence the need for three vans).
