Settle a debate. Do you think 8st is too little when you are 5ft 2ish? Size 8 clothing are perfect or a little loose. Age 41. Two kids. I know there’s no rules,it’s not me saying that there is but I need to hear opinions on this.

Perfect healthy weight. Provided your waist is no more than 30 inches (so minimal visceral fat) and you've good muscle tone you're doing great health wise.
Clothes sizes are a rubbish measure. BMI, strength, waist size, immunity and stamina are the things that tell you if you're well nourished and healthy.

If all shops stock your size you are too little…

That’s crazy, people’s perception of ‘too thin’ often just means ‘thinner than them’. It’s jealousy dressed up as concern.

This is SO accurate!

I’ve seen posts on here from people who’ve lost weight and it’s completely changed their friendships.

Women are odd creatures at times. I also think a lot are happier when their friends and family are “fatter” than them.

I never mentioned BMI.

Yes, I know, sorry. Other people have, so I thought I'd mention it as well, because it is kind of relevant to the OP's original question. 🙂

I would kill for a waist that small.

OP, could it be a case of them being worried that you're going to loose more weight?

Either way, its great you've adjusted your diet and weight, solving the health issue you had. Carrying extra weight is well known to contribute towards a lot of health issues, especially as you get older.

As long as you're getting enough protein, fruit, vegetables and some carbs and healthy fats, it'll going to help as you get older. Also, not being too obsessive, so if you fancy a treat, you can have it. As said before, obviously make sure you're doing some form of exercise to help with muscles to protect joints and balance for old age.

Well she can lose more weight and still be a healthy bmi and I’m sure her over weight sibling isn’t the epitome of a healthy diet. I’m also fairly sure the op like most people knows how to eat healthy,
