Can I mention a missing purse and jewellery after workmen visited?

Well known plumbing company came in to fix central heating in our house and a few months later, I have discovered a designer purse missing, a couple of credit cards and a box of jewellery.
My husband says you can't blame it on them for sure as a BT engineer also came in a month later but he was only in the front bedroom. This stuff is definitely missing. What should I do now? Can I denounce them on social media and not get into trouble?

How did it take you months to realise this stuff was missing?

I wondered that too.
I also couldn’t understand that if the OP had been robbed numerous times by cleaners as she said, that she didn’t take more precautions this time with her stuff when she knew tradespeople would be in.

Well I definitely know I have been robbed.

Were there unknown charges on any of your cards?

when did you report the burglary to the police? At the very least (as the police no longer investigate burglaries, too busy arresting people for typing stupid things on social media) you have a crime number for your contents insurance to claim.

I've had that much stuff nicked over the years by cleaners etc. I was just not expecting a respected company to do this. You cannot trust anyone.

Are you sure nobody else has been in your house since. Not any cleaners? Because it would surprise me if you can afford an LV purse and have jewellery that you don’t notice is missing for months that you clean your own house. 🤷‍♀️

You are making a HUGE assumption. You have no idea who stole from you. All you know is that things that should be their arent. I wouldnt throw accusations around without proof.

You have misplaced the stuff, it’s not been stolen. Stop being so dramatic and look closer to home.
