Morning All! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, with boy cat snuggled on my knee. He was in bed with me til I decided I was ready for a cuppa! Girl's gone back to bed with dd2 💤.

Today's new bed day 🥳 so plan is to get dressed when the washer's done, start dismantling the old one and shift the stuff from under it into the girls room for today. Then assemble it before bed time!

If it doesn't arrive by the time underneath is empty and old bed dis-assembled, I have a cave for a display at work to finish, a new crochet word project to work on, and several items I want to browse online for. So plenty to keep me busy! Dd2 has a little bit of homework left - she's been using college frees for it so far.

Dd1 got in at 4am, so I won't hear from her for hours yet.

I might treat us to takeaway for tea, depending how bed building goes. Then it'll be either book or crochet this evening. I haven't picked up my book all week, I've been that knackered after work!

Cleaning today. Will walk the dog in a bit.
Dh went to work at 6. Dd at 8. Looking forward to a bit of coffee and netflix. Dh home by 9 as I was finishing my sausage bun.....
Netflix off, back to scrubbing the oven.

Happy new bed day. We bought a new mattress, it weighs 55kg, dread bed change day now.

Watching some rugby later but popping out first to buy some yarn so I can knit while I’m in front of the TV.

In the madness of uni packing for DS to fly the nest tomorrow. My dining room is non existent.
Slightly complicated by my mum falling and braking her wrist on Tuesday so she's staying with us for few days
No plans at all apart from washing, packing and organising.

Morning. Well a bit of an odd one here this week, I’m a bit “out of sorts”!!

For the first time in 24 years, we have no “children” here, they’re now both at Uni.

I’m looking around at what needs to be cleaned and it’s not much! Bathroom and kitchen I do every day anyway. Lounge and dining room just need a dust and that’s it. One bed to change and then we are all done. Amazing the mess two adult (24 and 19) boys make, especially the bathroom!!

A relaxing afternoon ahead with a glass or two of something and whatever else comes to mind in an empty house!! 🤣

I've just opened my art gallery, and sold a couple of cards. Going with a French cafe playlist on spotify.

Thinking what I might put on TikTok later.

I had lots of plans, but I have mentally cancelled nearly all of them, because I am so exhausted after this week and several night of poor sleep. I need to rest so im sobbing in the sofa with occasional kitten company when they're not being little furry chaos demons. I need to do a food shop and I might do a little light gardening if I feel up to it later, but the kids are with their dad, demands are low and I am going to make the most of it.

Morning all. I was up early and got a second coat of paint on my kitchen so it has time to dry before I move onto the woodwork.

i have a free weekend for the first time in ages, and work has never been so busy, so I’m loving just pottering about!

going to do a food shop in a bit and trying to decide whether to be sensible and go to Sainsbury’s down the road, or take the bus to M&S….

otherwise I’m going to clean, tidy, change my bedding, and watch Netflix. Bliss!

DP has taken the kids to their sports activities this morning and I’ve had a lie in with breakfast in bed.
Once they’re home DP and me will
be stripping wallpaper, he’s making tea and then we’re having a board game night. A few odd jobs like putting washing away etc to be done through the day, but nothing overly stressful.

I had planned to do a blitz of cleaning but woke up with a thumping headache so that’s now out the window! Think it’s easing up a bit now and so I’ll get myself into the shower shortly and wash hair which should help me feel a bit brighter. Have managed to put a wash on so just need to get that in the dryer once it’s done. That’s probably going to be it for housework today.

DD wants to go into town with me a bit later to get some ink cartridges for her fountain pen so we’ll do that and might stop off at Costas or somewhere for a coffee and a treat!

Then this evening DD and I will watch Strictly together - might do a spaghetti Bol or if still feeling bleugh will get a takeaway.

Morning all! I’m still in bed and just finished looking at Instagram. I was supposed to be up and out early today to do the shopping but had a bout of weird sleep this morning and have been hitting the snooze button off and on. I now feel like staying home and nesting instead like folding laundry, making soup, stewing apples, etc.

Breakfast is still needed though. I’ll get up in a bit and feed myself before showering. I do still need to visit M and S to collect an order and swing by another place for basics like toothpaste. The rest of the shopping can wait until tomorrow. 🙂 Later this afternoon is a catch up call with a friend who’s in Iceland for a few months.

What’s for dinner? I’ll make a one pot orzo and asparagus dish to accompany some roasted chicken leg quarters and salad.

We're all at varying stages of a cold so not slept that well. DH was snoring and sounded like bagpipes.

If I have the energy, we might shuffle around town for a couple of bits.

Then, chilling, strictly and burgers for tea.

Strictly tonight! You guys have saved my Saturday, I’d completely failed to spot that it’s launch weekend. Have been to gym, just out of shower. Going to walk doggy, get some prep done for craft workshop tomorrow and then sack out in front of Strictly with a bit of crochet. Bliss.

Got up early, had a cup of tea and some toast and then soent the last three and a half hours sorting out my wardrobe and drawers. Filled three large black bags with clothes for donation and now can’t stop looking at my lovely and organised wardrobe and clothes. Has needed doing for months but kept putting it off. So glad it’s done.

not much on the to do list for today other than catching up with the laundry and figuring out tea.

Morning all,
We had guests this week so have lots of bedding and towels to wash. Unfortunately it’s wet and windy so it’s all got to be hung indoors and will take ages to dry. I’ve just popped into town to pick up a prescription and to buy toothpaste. I had a little wander round b&m while I was out but there is nothing I want. Think I’m just over saturated with stuff now. There are several areas I need to declutter/tidy but I’m waiting for dd1 to go back to uni next week so her stuff is out of the way. Dh is supposed to be out all afternoon with the two youngest and I’m hoping it doesn’t get rained off because I really want the house to myself for a couple of hours 🤞

Our freezer is full to bursting so Freezer Surprise for dinner which also means I don’t have to cook 😁

Morning! I have had a productive morning.

• laundry done and hanging out
• food shop done and put away (I do the shop and DP puts it all away
• big pot of homemade vegetable soup made (just need to blend)
• pot of spiced stewed apples made for breakfasts this week too
• DP is cutting the grass
• robot hoover is doing it’s thing and I’m having a cuppa

goin shopping and getting a manicure with Dd13 later and ds is off to a cubs camp.

Morning @lucysmam and the Saturday morning gang. A quiet start here today. I've decided to re-jig things at the weekend. So instead of dashing off to the supermarket on a Saturday morning, I'm switching to Sunday mornings instead. I find I'm tired after a long weekend in work and need a little downtime on a Saturday morning. And the supermarket is likely to be quieter on a Sunday morning.

I spent the morning updating my budget for the month and doing up a meal plan and shopping list for tomorrow. Nipped down to the local shop for some breakfast stuff and I'm currently having a cuppa.

DCat1 is curled up with DD in bed. DD has a cold and she has the day off work today. So she's planning a quiet day, although she's going out with her friends later.

DCat2 is sitting on top of the armchair by the window, alternating between snoozing and watching the world go by.

I'm going to relax for another hour or so and then start on my weekend chores. Hopefully DD will be awake by then. If not, she'll have to put up with the sound of the dishwasher being emptied and the hoover etc.

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. My usual Saturday clock watching as off to work soon. It’s raining here in Cornwall so the store will probably be busier than ever. Got a few bits done since getting up around 8.30 but not achieved as much as I wanted to. Trying to clear out the car as I’m driving us up to Bristol tomorrow. Full tank of petrol - £70!! After work I’m popping to DF’s to drop off yet more parcels. They’re taking over! I have managed to put some things on E Bay. Trying so hard not to look at Vinted. It’s bankrupting us! DH working til 5 then attempting to attach new handlebars to his bike. He got very frustrated & grumpy trying & failing to do it last night! DD17 is on the phone to someone in her room. I haven’t seen her yet today. I’ve peeled some spuds as we’re having Pieminister steak & ale pies, double cream mash & peas for tea. Gravy for me. I’m on rabbit duty so have done breakfast & will be “putting them to bed”. Which reminds me, need to buy more treats. Watching Strictly tonight. Especially looking forward to seeing Lawrence Robb from Emmerdale. Have a great day all ❤️

Morning all!

Must have slept funny, as woken up with sore, tight muscles all round my back. Probably need to take it easy, but have some potatoes still in the ground in the garden, which need to come up really. I'll see how I feel in a couple of hours.

Went to Asda for the food shop, then to Waitrose to collect an Amazon parcel. Printer ink and 2027 calendars to give to my mum and sister for Christmas. One of the gifts we always do.

Home to put the dishwasher on, and was just settling down with a coffee when the Jehovahs rang the bell... Mum and a girl of about 13. An immediate "no thanks" and door closed when I saw the leaflets.

No plans for the rest of the day, beyond digging out potatoes! Might settle down with a film and the first velvetizer hot chocolate of the season later this afternoon. :) I've bought extra milk specially!

Morning all, dc have colds one keeps letting me know how ill they are, it’s going to be a long day! I have had a slow morning and have got back in bed to do life admin. I need to walk the dog. May head out to see a friend later. Easy tea of tomato pasta and prawns as need to do a food shop! May order that online in a bit. I am slowly de cluttering my house as it’s been a crazy busy year but just slowing down. It’s quite satisfying so more decluttering to sort for the charity shop later. Have a good day all!

Slow morning here which has been lush. I've been feeling exhausted over the last 2 weeks.
I've had to buy a new laptop so been setting that up for most of the morning. DS2 only just got out of bed 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I've finished my training courses for a new volunteering role and going to spend this afternoon looking through my new module with the open university before we officially start in 2 weeks time 🙂

Tea will probably be pizzas 🍕 Then a movie night later with OH

Forgot to say I’m collecting DF from DM’s care home at 6ish. I have flowers for DM which have been sitting still wrapped in a vase for a few days. They’re her favourites so hopefully won’t die immediately!

We are on day two of clearing out the shed/storeroom, a ghastly job, full of spiders. I am also horrified by the amount of stuff like old mdf, paint and whatnot from house jobs that we just stacked and stored when we were both too busy at work to address.
We had a skip run yesterday and will need another one today. And I will need tranquilisers.
Got either lamb casserole or lamb curry tonight, as I batch cooked. One of them will be frozen in portions and one will be scoffed.

Oh of course Strictly! 💃 I will fit that in today as well 😆
