RIP Stephanie Cole

[CaveMum]

Sad to hear about Stephanie Cole.

She was so good in many shows - Open All Hours, Waiting For God, etc. I loved her turn in The Cleaner as the murderous old lady and of course as Carolyn in Cabin Pressure.

A sad time for CP fans - Carolyn and Herc reunited.

Very sorry to read this. Many excellent roles, but Tenko always tops it for me.

I’ve actually just finished watching Tenko on U, RIP Big Bea.

RIP Stephanie, a wonderful actress. I was allowed to stay up for Tenko because it was an important thing to watch, mum was pretty strict otherwise. I’ve got all the cabin pressure episodes which i downloaded when going through my divorce 8 years ago, they got me through… I can hear her voice in my head. Lovely lady

Aw, really sorry to hear that. She was one of those actors, if I saw her name in the cast list, I knew it was going to be good. She was fantastic in Tenko.

Wonderful actor and person. Goodbye, Stephanie, and thank you for helping to make Tenko so special.

Very sad to hear this. I loved her in Cabin Pressure.

Sad to hear this. I loved her in Tenko.

Haven’t seen her in anything for years and then today saw her in an episode of Inside No 9 and even commented “ooh I’d forgotten about her”. Hours later I hear this news bless her!

She was amazing in Tenko and had a huge effect on me when I was younger, I’d never seen a performance like it. She was so moving in that and so strong, a remarkable portrayal.

she could also be so funny.

what a woman.

Carolyn! How sad, she was wonderful.

Waiting for god takes me back- I miss old tv- I miss life before streaming services! Loved her. RIP

Me too. Just watched all of it from the beginning again. How very sad.

oh, I hadn’t heard about this ☹️ Funnily enough, I’ve been thinking recently about searching out Tenko; it was something my parents watched, but I was slightly too young and it went over my head.
I definitely will watch it now.
Will listen again to some Cabin Pressures too.

I always said that I wanted to be Diana when I grew old.

But she played so many amazing characters. Such a fantastic actress.

Oh I am so sad to hear this. I first encountered her in Tenko as a child. Like a PP, it was a special treat to be allowed to stay up because my mum thought it was an excellent drama. I later loved her in cabin pressure with my own children. She will be missed.

Carolyn Knapp-Shappy will never die!

Very sad news.
I am pld enough to remember her in Tenko, but for me also she will always be Carolyn Knapp-Shappey.
RIP Stephanie x

Her Talking Heads is one of the best.

She was such a brilliant actress.
