Sad to hear about Stephanie Cole.

She was so good in many shows - Open All Hours, Waiting For God, etc. I loved her turn in The Cleaner as the murderous old lady and of course as Carolyn in Cabin Pressure.

A sad time for CP fans - Carolyn and Herc reunited.

The episode with her sister, as her accent gradually slips from posh into the accent of their mutual childhood, is a masterclass in acting.

How was she not Dame Stephanie? Such a fabulous actor.

I must be of the same vintage as many of you as I also watched Tenko with my mum as probably the first 'grown-up' programme I watched.

I enjoyed her work in many other things over the years, she was one of people who seeing her name on a cast list made me want to watch. She was not only a great actor but one who seem to gravitate to excellent work.

Cabin Pressure is our happy place, we listen often and quote liberally. She was perfectly cast as Carolyn. RIP.

Like many others on here, I first saw her in Tenko. I was a teen when it was first shown and used to watch it with my mum. Many years later, I came across a channel that was repeating it and rewatched it with my own teenage daughter.

John Finnemore was talking about her on R4 Today earlier this morning. She was brilliant on Cabin Pressure.

Thank you - I missed that but have just listened on iplayer. What a lovely, moving tribute

Thank you for the tip off. His segment starts about 23.30 minutes in. She officiated at his marriage ceremony! How lovely. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0031smr

Oh, I don’t remember that one! I’ll have to seek it out.

I am about to turn 60. I will try to be as much like her in ,'Waiting for God' as I can.
Fabulous woman. RIP
