Anyone else a big fan of Mika on The Piano and as a singer?

I recently finished watching Series 4 of the Piano on Channel 4 and I can never get over how much I love Mika, both as a mentor but also as a singer and a public figure. He's so talented, funny, and handsome as well 😍

Jumping on to ask the best place to watch Mika on TV? YouTube? Any particular channels?
I am also a big fan
Life in Cartoon Motion came out around the time I had a bereavement and I remember driving around with the CD on in the car trying to deal with all the appointments and admin that comes with such a sad event
Such a mix of upbeat and emotional songs.
When I listen today it takes me right back there
I think I'll binge watch The Piano..it has passed me by until now.

I like him too, he has a good energy and seems very kind. I didn’t realise he was of Lebanese origin, that makes sense, all the Lebanese I know are lovely people.

Good energy and very kind, that sums him up so well!

I saw him live in Bristol a few years ago and he was brilliant

I'm sure it was an incredible show!

There seems to be a hate crowd for everyone who is so obviously nice. Whole MN thread devoted to it frequently!

Am pondering whether this is a British thing...

With Mika there are definitely naysayers all over the world, unfortunately.

Yeah, there's loads on YouTube. Just Google Mika Penniman and you'll be spoilt for choice or put in whatever you want to listen to and the video will be there. Alternatively, the Mika fan club has endless threads about everything Mika related, there's a thread for just about every song he's ever recorded 😁

Did you hear @ThisDaringPoster that Mika said he's doing something big to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of Life in cartoon motion next year? And it's going to go all around the world?.😃 Can't wait to find out what it is.

Oooh yes I did 😁 What's your theory as to what it might be? I'm thinking a world tour of some sort.

I went to see Mika a few years back after quite liking him / not being a massive fan.

He is now one of my favourite people on earth! What a showman. What a talent. What energy! I absolutely love him. He seems such a genuine person as well.

I agree with Bonjovispjs @Iamateadrinker, start with YouTube and the fan club is also a good source to find a lot of information, photos, and videos 😊

A lot of fans seem to think it'll be a world tour. That would be amazing, but I'm doubtful as he's just toured Europe and America and still hasn't completed his festivals, so surely a world tour so soon after would be too much? He is only human after all. I wonder if it'll be a one off concert like I ❤️ Beirut that's shown all around the world?

Big girls, you are beautiful...what's wrong with diet coke and a pizza?

It tastes nicer than normal coke!

He talked a lot before he performed that song when I saw him about Victoria Wood. He was inspired to write it after seeing her documentary about the weight loss industry where she visited a night club for larger women. He said that seeing their joy there made him want to write the song. Plus, anyone who loves Victoria Wood is a friend of mine.

Would have loved to have gone to the Buffalo lounge 😃 He said it was also because his mum was a larger lady and he saw how biased people were towards her because of it, so that contributed.

It might be too much after this year of touring, a virtual concert would be amazing!

They are, but he's released another 5 albums since then, including one entirely in French, give them a go, you won't be disappointed 😁

I’ve loved Mika since I was 18. Saw him most recently in February at Wembley Arena. He was fabulous.

I've had 5, Hammersmith and Kew in 2024, Leeds in 2025 and Manchester and Wembley this year 😊 Had many other Mika experiences too though, like The Piano finals, Christmas specials and watching filming at train stations, all were amazing 👏

I hope so, I hate not having anything booked in and not knowing when I'll next see him 😢 I guess I have, but I know of some fans who have literally seen him hundreds of times, they're a bit crazy 🤣
