Most MN know that a chicken can feed a family of 6 over several meals. What is your record?
Our chicken fed 8 of us when the kids were young for two meals. We sent it to the chip shop after the stove broke down.😀
Other MN legends - washing being darked on because it was left out overnight.
Any that you've heard on MN inthe respect if your heard them said irl you know the speaker is an MNer?

If they did that now, you'd just get a load of people sending giftwrapped toilet brushes and waiting to hear the screams on Christmas morning from 20 miles away!

Perhaps we should all be sending questionnaires to friends before we eat at their houses. Do you wash your cat bowl or toilet brush in the dishwasher? Yes? I'll bring my own plate, thanks.

I still love the post where the mum was asked by the doctor to put her hands on her baby's head and tummy, to calm and comfort him whilst the doctor carried out some checks; and she misunderstood and put the puzzled baby's own hands there instead, in a 'I can pat my head and rub my tummy at the same time' motion

Yeah that's the issue. I don't think a lot of people know how to use it properly or can be bothered. I'd be scared of a visitor crapping, rubbing the brush in shite then putting it back! We used to have this happen at work. The office manager actually told people that's how you use it??! So yeah I guess I've got low level PTSD from it!

Always wondered if I was the cause of "naice ham." I always wrote my shopping list like:

Bread
Nice bread

Because the first is normal sliced, and the second is corn bread or olive bread, something nicer. I had nice bread, nice ham, nice cheese etc. Apparently it stemmed from someone finding such a list in a shopping basket and thinking it hilarious. I still do it now 🤷

It reminds me of the one from the other day where the OP said her husband was stress farting because he was worried about their son not applying for apprenticeships or something. She dropped it in so casually like it was an everyday occurrence. I was snorting to myself all the way through that.

I was in the supermarket and a man asked me which is the nice ham as his wife had done the shopping list and wanted nice ham. I said the mid range price should be fine as it is not too cheap or expensive. Ages later a man saw me in the queue and said my choice had been good.

I just made one cooked chicken into 20 meals which I have frozen for when I come out of hospital. Mind you I live on my own.
