I can see why you might not like it because it'll keep suggesting stuff that isn't 'you'. Like when you go to a holiday cottage and people haven't logged out of the netflix and you just use it instead of bothering to log in with your own.

Mine used to turn up the volume and leave little jokey announcements for when we arrived home. We had the same sense of humour. My son used to storm down stairs laughing that Alexa just told him he smells! Brilliant use of tech.

Oh. The joys of modern life. My first thought was so what, it's not unreasonable for the cleaner to trun the radio on, but if it messes up your playlists, I can see that would be frustrating.

My Polish neighbour sometimes listens to what I presume is Polish music in her garden (not loud, just gently but I can hear it) and some of it is quite catchy 😂
I pass my phone around for people to add songs to a Spotify playlist when we have get togethers and then later on, like during my commute get random songs popping up that I’d never listen to, all part of the rich tapestry of life!

In theory, I think it's fine for alexa to be used by anyone. But I do sympathise with the playlist issue. I had to get the children their own spotify and alexa accounts because I couldn't bear the fact that I was always getting wheels on the bus or something on my playlist! .

One of my cleaners is the opposite - clearly thinks we're using it to spy as if he's one of the cleaners that week, it's turned off when I come home.

I think this is one thread title that would have benefited from the ‘lighthearted’ qualifier 😁
